There was a guy outside along the sidewalk with a small table giving out samples of cheesecake. The sample cheesecake had a great texture and was soft. Thought we'd give it a try and order some inside. Our table had the chocolate lover's cheesecake, a coconut cake, and two cocktails. The chocolate cheesecake was frozen when it was served. Not sure why they'd serve it like that and the server said I should wait before eating it... Took my time to let it thaw a bit more and even after about 15min, it was still an unpleasant texture. The coconut cake was very stale. The sponge itself was hard. Taste-wise, both cakes were just fine, but nothing really memorable. The mango martini was poorly done in my opinion. It tasted like refrigerator cold vodka with a mango flavour. It was served with a garnish of three frozen mangoes on a stick. The frozen mangoes were like something you'd get in the grocery store to make smoothies out of. I can't recommend this place if you have other options. I know this place has been around a while, but I got the impression that they don't really understand the customer experience with the food and drinks they're serving and are maybe prioritizing their end (such as freezing stuff or keeping stale stuff to not waste food and still sell them).

Absolutely terrible experience. My friend ordered a cake TWO WEEKS ahead of time online. When she went to pick it up on the specified date they had not prepared the cake at all. She showed him the order confirmation to which the employee said “oh, you should really call to place an order” why would there be an “Order Online” option on the website if it’s not actually an option? After she specified that it was needed for that night the employee said “are you sure? It’s has to be tonight? Oh hang on a minute”. They then went to the back and brought back a prepackaged TINY, LOW SUGAR, KETO cheesecake without the writing she had ordered. This is absolutely the opposite of what she ordered, not to mention that she ordered a vanilla cheesecake and the keto one was cappuccino. To top it off, the employee took a BROKEN half of a chocolate bar and wrote a sloppy happy birthday message on it. The chocolate bar was broken unevenly and looked terrible. The employee then essentially sent her on her way and did NOT give her a refund for the $40 DOLLAR custom cheesecake that she had ordered. Incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time and money. Would not recommend. Stay away, honestly an unbelievable experience.

The rating of the place is quite an honest reflection; it’s nothing awful or anything special. The cheesecake was good — but I’ve had amazing dessert and this wasn’t anything particularly extraordinary, just good. We had a wide assortment so I feel this way of the cafe as a whole. The best option was the tiramisu and pistachio cheesecake. The tiramisu was not a lightly breaded pastry; it felt more like a tiramisu cheesecake. It was heavy and had a light cheesecake taste. It was good! The pistachio cheesecake was novel for us and it wasn’t too sweetly flavoured which balanced with the sweetness of the cheesecake. I feel this cafe can go more lightly with the sugar…! The mock mojito was also really average. I’ve had better. Wouldn’t order it again or recommend. Had a slightly bitter aftertaste and I felt it could use more lime. The wait staff, however, were very friendly though things seemed slightly disorganized (they forgot the cake we ordered to-go without us asking again for it and the lack of communication between them meant the remaining staff did not know where it was). It’s an okay place to try. Nothing to rave about!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Walk away now if you're there, look for another cafe place in the area. Pay no attention to whatever almost 4 stars this place have, how they have these reviews is beyond me. This was the worst service I've EVER received in my life and hey, I have plenty of reference to compare with having eating in all kind of places (cheap and expensive) around the world. Have in mind that you're in the Yorkville area and chances are you're over paying for things but you will want at least to have good service for what your paying. The cheese cake and cafe au lait I had was ok but nothing remarkable to compensate for the prices and their horrible, horrible service. The waiter last night (July 15 around 10pm in case the manager even cares about these reviews) was his own category of rude. I frankly put up with it because the friend I was with invited me (she has been before and obviously had better luck). When we arrived, even though there was a perfectly fine table in the patio, he stuck us at the back, where the table space they had was not appropriate for 2 people with shopping bags; and on top of that he pretty much dropped the menus on the table...yeah, when one can hear a sound when the menu hits the table, one cannot called the action "put" but "drop". The ladies sitting there were clearly annoyed (we were almost elbow to elbow with them). I asked the waiter then, what was wrong with the table at the front and if we could sit there instead, if he had said no I would have told my friend to leave the place as I was already extremely annoyed but didn't want to say anything not to make her feel bad as she invited me in the first place. Anyways, this rude fellow said it was fine to switch tables and I couldn't believe this but he actually signalled with a thumb behind his shoulder gesture + nasty attitude to go ahead to the new table. After he "grabbed" the menus and followed us to the front, he dropped the menus once again and left us for 10 min before coming back to take the order with a less than desired attitude. A very nice lady brought our order next (not him) and after that not a single soul came over to check if everything was OK, nobody asked if we wanted anything else. Nothing until my friend got up and payed. 0 stars should be a thing, 1 star for this place...

I went to the hospital for a mistake they made!!! My family and I went there for the first time to eat desserts. I'm allergic to gluten so I googled it and saw that they have gluten-free options. When my husband ordered a Cheesecake the guy told us that he believed he didn't have that flavour so my husband ordered a different Cheesecake. When they brought the desserts they told me the gluten-free for me would take a few minutes. Yes, a few minutes later they brought the last slice of Cheesecake, so I thought it would be mine. When everybody finished, the waitress brought a slice of Cheesecake claiming that it was gluten-free. So, the slice that I ate contained gluten, it was a regular slice of pay!! Supposedly, they did have the slice that my husband asked for at the beginning and they charged it to the order without letting us know. I was disappointed, I told them since the beginning that I was allergic to gluten. At midnight, I was at the hospital in urgencies because I was really bad for the gluten I ate. The guy in charge only said to me that it won't happen the next time. Yes, it won't be a next time because after the terrible night I had at the hospital I won't be back. I do not recommend the place, they do not care for their...
