Visited Louie's Pizzeria while we were in uptown Yonge neighborhood for a sunday lunch and were quite delighted with our meal. The server was really kind and gave some good suggestions based on our preferences, so we tried their Gnocchi in Alfredo sauce and a customised medium size half n half pizza. The Gnocchi was really fresh, creamy, melt in the mouth kind and delicious. Pizza was nice as well, I really liked their crisp and firm crust. We customized our choice of toppings with 1st Side - Pesto sauce + Onion + Garlic + Mushroom + Green bellpepper + Goat cheese + Chicken 2nd Side - Tomato sauce + Onion + Garlic + Pepperoni + Jalapeños Somehow I liked the pesto side more combined with the creamy goat cheese but overall good. For deserts we tried their biscottis such as the the bittersweet chocolate (Tasted fine) and Skor one (a little too sweet for my liking) but, would have preferred it to be a bit more crispy, it was hard but not crunchy enough for a double baked biscuit. Overall, would recommend to try their fresh varieties of pasta and pizza :)

We got a table for 2 at lunch time and ordered a No. 16 specialty pizza and a lasagna. The pizza was one of my favourites. It had a generous amount of toppings, and the dough was chewy and I liked that it was rolled in cornmeal! The lasagna wasn't bad, but the sauce wasn't very thick so it was rather soupy. We found a short hair in the lasagna as we were midway through and weren't certain whether it was from them, but they begrudgingly gave us the benefit of the doubt and took off the price of the lasagna. The server was evidently not very happy about it, which soured the mood. Otherwise, it was a good experience overall and I would return for the pizza.

One day we walked by this place and the smell coming from it was amazing, so I put it on my list of places to try. That is a decision I do not regret. For me, it all begins with the crust and this has one of the best. It was thin, crispy and cooked perfectly, there was a crunch with almost every bite. We got the large with Italian sausage, bacon, red peppers, onions and tomatoes, you could taste the freshness of the toppings. My only complaint would be that I would have liked a little more sausage on there but that's just me. I will definitely be going back to try different topping combinations.

THE BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD IN A REALLY LONG TIME!!!!

I like pizza. I like the way it smells. However, pizza has a way of disappointing me. When I put it in my mouth, I realize it doesn't taste the way it smells. It isn't as tantalizing. I no longer want it.

THIS IS NOT THAT PIZZA!

We ordered the #12 - tomato sauce, mozz, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, green olives, bacon, and Italian sausage. It came absolutely laden with toppings. If you want a hearty pizza, this is the one for you.

We also ordered the #8 - spinach, hot peppers, onions, garlic, olive oil, sundried tomatoes, oregano, rosemary, mozz, and bocconcini. This one was our favorite. Flavor-wise, it's a very balanced pizza and the hot peppers give it a subtle heat that makes it all the better. We literally couldn't stop talking about this pizza after we left the restaurant.

These pizzas were thin crust and the cheese was nice and stringy. The dough is made fresh and so is their pesto sauce! The best part about this pizza dinner though is that it didn't leave my stomach or my throat feeling disgustingly oily!

AND THE SERVICE!

I came in with what is essentially a virtual coupon. I was the first customer to try to use it, so I expected some kinks. No marks docked off for that. I was just as confused as they were. In the fluster of this all, they took my order and I paid for it, but the paper with my order on it disappeared. When they found out, they came out and apologized, and offered us a large caesar salad on the house. We ate in and they gave us plates for the salad, and then offered to change our plates to fresh ones when our pizza arrived. They also gave us water without us asking. At the end of our meal, they asked us how our meal was and thanked us for coming. We even met Louie, the mastermind behind our delicious dinner.

I think I found my new favorite...

Updated Review This was also my choice to order when I'm in the area, however my recent experience was not up to par. My takeout order was around $100. This is what I order: 2 lbs of wings - honey garlic and bbq, which both my wings were over cooked, thus it being dry, tough, hard and stringy when biting through. The wings were not tossed properly in sauce, some wings were coated, some had none and a large pool of sauce at the bottom of the container. Garlic bread with cheese - came with 4 slices. Over toasted so when it cool, it was way too crunchy. 3 out of 4 bread had cheese, the last piece was clearly forgotten. Spaghetti w/tomato sauce - the spaghetti was dry pasta you buy from the store. The pasta was cooked well, but the sauce had no flavor, it was bland and sad. Medium customized pizza - the toppings were enough to cover the pizza but the dough was just not good/fresh. It was chewy, the crust was tough and flat, definitely not how I remembered it to be previously when I ordered.

Overall: Disappointing, to pay almost $100 on food that is below standard. Sad to see the quality and consistency drop.

Previous Review: 4 stars Consistency of the pizza is always great. Ordered from here 5+ times and everytime I'm not disappointed. The crust is always crisp, flavorful, pizza is never greasy. Amount of toppings of the pizza is perfect, every bite there's plenty of topping. Wings are sometimes great, nice and juicy. But other times its overdone, hard to chew and dry. Everytime I order pizza, I always get wings and 60% of the time wings are good. Flavor of the wings are...

Usually i have a good experience with Classico. I have been ordering from them for years. I am not sure if they are under new management, because I just had the most frustrating experience with them. I ordered 1 small cheese pizza, salad, and 2 drinks, and 1 creamy garlic dipping sauce. The woman said it would be 45 mins, they showed up over an hour later. When the delivery man got here, he dropped my pops on the ground, so than both cans were squished on there sides. No big deal, he apologized. I still left him over a 20% tip. Once i opened my food, they forgot my dipping sauce. It was written on my recipt so i called to let them know they forgot it and if they can bring me one. They woman on the phone argued with me, said that the dipping sauce was included. I said why would i call over an 80 cent dipping sauce... i just want you to bring me one because i had paid for it and i enjoy my pizza so much more with it. She than put me on the phone with another woman ( at this point i am frustrated, why is this so hard ?) The new woman i was speaking to told me she packed it herself and the dipping sauce was included. I laughed at her and said, it wasnt, why would i call over a dipping sauce ? She argued with me and insisted the dipping sauce was there and would not accomidate me. Honestly, the worst customer service. The pizza used to be soooooo good, but the cheese now is kind of rubbery. I do not recommend this place. The service was terrible. ( not the delivery guys) the people in the actual restraunt. Very frustrating...
