It was okay. Not much to say about most dim sum places, you know... I mean, it seemed a little on the expensive side, not a huge selection of dimsum, and some of the options were actually terrible. (Do not order spring rolls with meat. Inedible, to me. And way too big.) Dumplings seem too big too. Steamed beef balls were good. The egg buns are okay. Sometimes, I'm just happy to find them here at all, but none will be as good as the ones I go to in Vancouver. The male server was awful and treated my wife terribly, refusing to accept that she was Cantonese and kept giving her the English menu and speaking in English to her. He almost didn't even put our dim sum order on our table because he clearly didn't believe she (or we since I am white) would have used a Chinese menu. It was a lot of runaround for no reason. All the female servers were lovely and respectful however. It was a but strange as at least half the patrons were not Chinese, which usually means it's not the greatest real Chinese food and sure enough... sweet & sour chicken balls are on the menu 🙄. So, it's fine, but if you really love authentic dim sum you may be disappointed. Although beggars can't be choosers and there are not really any other decent dim sum places anywhere nearby. I think they are appealing to white people's idea of dim sum tbh, and maybe that is because of the gentrification of the area these days... can't actually blame a business for trying to stay alive. As I am not a huge dim sum fan, I may not be a great judge but it was just okay. I wouldn't mind just stopping in for the egg buns and beef balls though.

A really, really disappointing visit. RIP Pearl Court. If you've ever been a patron of Pearl Court, you'd know that this spot used to be a local institution. Dine & Dim is nowhere near the standards left by its predecessor. I'd even go so far as to say that it's probably the worst dim sum in the city. The prices were pretty rough at an average of 7 bucks a dish on par with Rol San. We ordered two items. The Fried Wontons and Zhailang (Fried Dough Rice Noodle Rolls) (both pictured). The deep dried wontons were alright which afforded the review the star but the Zhailang were terrible. Firstly, they came out nearly 30 minutes after ordering and landed cold. Secondly, they were served without any sesame paste or sesame seeds (an expected dressing). When we asked the male waiter if we could have some, he very curtly answered "We don't serve that here. We've never served that dish with sesame here. People have allergies, don't you know? So we don't serve it." If that's the case, why serve shrimp? Why serve shellfish? Why serve peanuts? A simple "No we're out" would have been less disingenuous. A bizarre restaurant with bizarre vibes. Bizarre how it's still in business. Stay clear. Trust me or the countless other reviews saying the same.

I took my grandmother here for dim sum and we enjoyed it! It is one of the only places serving dim sum on this side of town and the food was excellent. It came out quickly and was fresh and hot. The har gow were generously stuffed with shrimp, siu mai were very tasty, and we really liked the shrimp rice noodle rolls. We tried the deep fried shrimp with salad and that was also perfectly crisp and flavourful. They had a lot of other lunch items on the menu and we also ordered the XO noodles, which were also delicious. The char siu baos could had a higher bbq pork to dough ratio, and I wish they offered a few other options like ham sui gok, wu gok, or bbq pork rice noodle rolls. The ambiance and decor inside is more modern, clean, and well thought out than typical places I've visited. The total was a bit more expensive than other places we've gone to in Chinatown but we didn't mind since it is the only place in the area, the food was good, and the decor was nicer than usual. Other reviews and photos mentioned sushi, but that wasn't an option on the menu we were given today - we only saw dim sum or Chinese food as options.

Went to this place on sunday, was craving dim sum. We got there and were seated after vax check, then we had to go through 3 menu styles and finally write our decisions down on the paper menu, which was fine as well. Ordered different styles of dim sum and shrimp fried rice and spicy stir fry chicken. The complimentary tea needed to be strained. The food after it arrived was starting to cool down fast, our servers were busy attending to other tables however they did bring out the items ordered very fast, as things kept going.

The issue - the spicy chicken, something that is literally ment for chicken, we get more than half the plate with vegetables, and barely any pieces of chicken. The spring rolls were okay but not great, did not feel fresh or even warmed up. The fried rice was less than average, just a bunch of yellow rice and a few shrimps on top. Did not taste that great.

The dim sum rolls/dumplings were really good but a tad expensive, however given the times, it makes sense.

There was vommit in the female bathroom sink, according to my female friends that had gone in.

The bill came out, and i was asked if I would pay cash, i said yes, as they gave 10% off. The bill was 75, i gave them 80 in 20s, expecting a $5 change so i can put more on and tip with other change. But the waitress decided to yell out as other customers were leaving, that $5 is less than 10% of tip, because tip is not included in service. Well for

No one clarified this. Why would you automatically believe that you deserve a tip? What kind of customer service is that?

Anyways I knew the service was terrible with the food and what not, but the insult of thinking i wouldn't tip was a lot. And yes us mellienials tip, we understand how important tipping is. So i threw down a 20. And left a nice 20% tip.

Thank you, but this restaurant is not worth it. I'd rather travel further to enjoy worst dim sum but better customer service. No one gets to ask for a tip. Tipping is courtesy. And i love to tip but when you give bad service and then ask before I even get to finish my transaction, then that just leaves...

Ordered delivery, 3 items $65. I feel completely ripped off! The chicken balls arrived minus the side of red sauce, despite that, I gave them a try the batter was so intensely dense and chewy and the chicken so dry... they were not worth another moment on my tongue or the cost. Then there was the black pepper beef ribs, NOT ribs at all, they were some kind of mystery cut of beef. Garlic green beans had no garlic and were overcooked shriveled garbage. I'm thoroughly disappointed and will not be ordering from there again.

I did call to inform your staff there was no red sauce included in my order and the woman I spoke to said, that there is no way the kitchen staff got my order wrong and that I should deal directly with uber. She hung up on me before I could ask why there are no bones in my black pepper ribs or let her know there was zero flavour in the over cooked green beans. Now if she had handled me apologetically and explained the confusion, I might have given your place a 3rd chance... but alas, your dinner menu is garbage and it had to be posted, since your staff refused a discussion. Chicken Balls have red sauce, ribs have bones sinew and fat, stir fried beans usually have flavour.... none of these were delivered. Your staff answering the phone was rude and dismissive. This was my second time ordering from you restaurant hoping the first bad experience was just a fluke and thought I owed you a second chance (as we used to love ordering from the former owners Pearl Court). If you don't want to hear negative feedback, accept responsibility on an incorrect order or take some constructive criticism publicly here on your review page, then I suggest you train your staff to answer the phone politely, respectfully and apologetically accept responsibility...

We’ve been doing the dim sum thing in Toronto since 1980. Dine & Dims quality of food and taste brings me back to Kowloon when it was on Dundas. I suggest you have it during the morning/brunch hours even though it’s available all day long.

The order :

Ha Gow: plump! loaded with tasty high quality shrimp and thin outer noodle. A splash of chili oil (it’s in the condiments on table) and Kip Chup (kinda like Worcestershire sauce ask for it ) add to the flavour.

Su Mei: best ever. Juicy tender pork with shrimp and a slight ginger taste wrapped in a yellow wrapper. Sooo good.

Shrimp stuffed Japanese Eggplant: tender and crispy at the same time with ample filling.

Pi Quat: steamed spareribs in black bean sauce. Not fatty. Nice garlicky taste

Pan Fried Pork Dumplings: not greasy, lots of filling stuffed in. Tons of chives. Very tasty.

Lo Mai Gai: sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf with ground pork and Chinese sausage. Such a classic ! I add chili oil to this one.

Deep fried shrimp dumplings w/mayo. We skip the mayo as a dip and use the Chinese red vinegar. Could eat these everyday lol 😂

Curry Cuttle Fish: tender as heck! Huge size for Cuttle fish. Cleaned properly no grit. And the curry sauce was bang on.

We also ordered the special of the day. Lobster Chow Mein, I asked for xtra crispy on noodle. Didn’t disappoint. It’s one lobster about 1 1/2 pounds wok fried with ginger, garlic & green onions. $18.88.

All the food was served piping hot. It’s a little more expensive than other dim sum restaurants but well worth it for the quality of ingredients.

Staff was attentive and quick. Music 🎼 playing was an old 70s soft mix. 😂

$125. Tax, Tea, 2 pops and $20 tip included. Served 4 adults with not...
