Take the following food/drink reviews taking only the favourable and constructive reviews and Convert to a text 250+ words and positive without going overboard with paragraphs on Location, Ambiance, Food, Service: The venerable Annex oasis formerly known as Future's Bakery, now Future Bistro at Bloor and Brunswick, is a place I frequent, embracing its strengths while tolerating its shortcomings. Strengths: Convenient Location and Atmosphere: The relaxed, spacious, and casual vibe is ideal for groups, quiet work sessions, or casual meetings. It feels like a throwback to simpler times, offering a warm and unpretentious space to unwind. Desserts and Coffee: Their selection of cakes, displayed enticingly, and the bottomless coffee that accompanies ordered meals are standout features. These offerings are perfect for those looking for a cozy place to linger with a treat. Good Value: The affordable pricing makes it a popular spot for students and anyone seeking a budget-friendly snack or meal. Challenges: Inconsistent Food Quality: Unfortunately, the cooked meals often fall short. The scrambled eggs can be dry and flavorless, while sandwiches lack finesse. The seasoning is either too heavy-handed or absent altogether. Service: Staff interactions tend to be abrupt and purely transactional, lacking warmth or attentiveness. Accessibility: Accessibility is a significant issue. The narrow staircase leading to the basement washrooms is a clear barrier for individuals with mobility challenges. Decor and Cleanliness: The “grungy chic” decor might charm longtime patrons, but the outdated, slightly shabby interiors could use refreshing. Future Bistro remains a nostalgic favorite for many, but there's room for improvement to elevate the overall experience. It's still one of my go-to locations...

The day I went, the staff seemed a bit off, almost like everyone was having a bad day. But other than that, i would like to talk briefly about the food and a few other things. The food I received was delicious. I had a pulled pork sandwich, and although it wasn't extremely hot in temperature, it was great to eat. I also had their chocolate cake, and even though it was a little too sweet, it was a greatly textured cake as a whole. Now, while my family and I was being seated, they asked if we wanted outdoor or indoor. Naturally, we love sitting outside, so they told us (Not guided us) to a vacant table for 4 (even though we had 5 people). This wasn't what bothered us. The table was not only for 4 people, but it was covered in pollen and food pieces with flies. I'm not talking about 3 stray flies that just landed there, I'm talking like 15-20 that seemed to have been there for an hour or two at least. Then, here comes the best part; they saw we were standing there confused and partially disgusted, so one lady brings a napkin and wipes off the food scraps and leaves smears of pollen, dust and whatever else was in the mixture and asks us to take a seat. Needless to say, we are inside. Food was 4 star worthy, but I honestly would never eat here again. There are pictures attached of my meals.

Eating at Future Bistro is always an experience. Placed in a Great Location. The Annex is always worth a visit. The wait time to place your order can vary from 5 minutes to 15 minutes depending on who is in front of you. They do have an extensive list of options. Their paper menu has prices but their overhead menu doesn’t. I arrived around 9:20 am on a Saturday and I expected it to be busier. It wasn’t; however because of this one would assume that it should run faster right? Wrong. There was a bit of a wait before I was able to place my order. I had to ask whether or not table service was happening. Since it wasn’t, you have to grab your own silverware, drink, food, and napkins. And return them to their bins when you are done. Just make sure to look at your silverware to ensure that they are clean. The first one I grabbed wasn’t. They do have free wifi which is nice. My order came and it was okay. By the time I was almost done eating someone brought be salt and pepper shakers. I spent about $15 and got a Super Omelette. Future Bistro is a convenient choice when you don’t want to cook, but there are better places to eat with a higher quality experience.

Let me start on a positive note. Beautiful service. Friendly, warm and welcoming. Decent ambiance for a drink in the patio.

The reason I'm writing this review is the food. Literally the worst quality of food I've had in my last 3 years in Canada. I'm sorry to say but terrible food. I literally puked after 20 minutes of leaving there.

1st) ordered for a crispy chicken sandwich. Took 1 bite. It was so dry and bland it was like that sandwich was prepared a day before. No worries had a polite conversation with the waitress. She was very understanding and took it away.

2nd) I ordered an Entree of a sausage dish instead. Hoping it would be better. It arrived with a tiny sausage, coleslaw and vegies. Potato veggies were raw. The fries were literally raw in the middle. Sausage was dry and extremely bitter. And coleslaw was only cabbage with zero dressing and a weird taste. Waitress asked if it was okay. I said I'm feeling bad to complain it's okay I said and had another bite thinking I'll manage. But it was so bad I just had to cancel the dish. The waitress called the owner.

He came and asked what was the issue. I said I'm sorry to say this but the food is not good. I politely explained to him that the dish was bad and also told him precisely what the issue was with the dish. His response. This is the 2nd time you asked for a replacement so now sorry I can't do anything. We had no other complaints and you have to pay for this. I was quite surprised by the response and arrogance. I did not want to argue and said Fine. I paid for the dish. Forcefully finished half of the fries and had the sausage. Left from there and 20 minutes after I threw up. As I suspected it was stale. Disappointing experience. If only the owner would be a bit more receptive towards feedback the establishment could improve by 10 folds. Great place with good people and service but what a let down because of bad food and...
