I just had such a terrible experience with this place!! I ordered a salad and the grilled chicken fajitas!! Unfortunately, my fajitas were missing… called the restaurant to get the other half of my food - and as I tried to explain the situation- what I was TOLD was the manager - was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. He told me “the tablet” did not receive my order… yet somehow I still got half of it?? Just not the other half?? To me that naturally did not make sense… he kept making excuses for the poor service when all I literally wanted was my food or a refund for it since I did not have the fajitas. As I tried to explain myself further, saying how I would like some form of refund due to the missing foods- the “manager” told me he can’t and won’t refund me, door dash needs to so I should call them. This does not make any sense. He kept saying DoorDash can refund me- not gabbys. (Yet somehow gabbys is the one making the food, selling the food…?) also- I ordered through the WEBSITE— not DoorDash — He started to get very angry and yelling at me. He would not let me speak. Every word I tried to get in he said “MAAM YOU SHOULD CALM DOWN. CALM DOWN FIRST OF ALL… second of all….etc” My hands started to shake. Honestly, I am SO appalled at this “managers” actions. I asked for his name - trying to see who this guy was (HE WAS YELLING AT ME I COULD NOT GET A WORD IN!!!) And he HUNG UP. I am currently on the phone with DoorDash trying to get a refund, who is telling me that I need to essentially get ahold of gabbys. I am NEVER ordering from this place again. It is not even about the money or the food anymore. It’s about the blatant disrespect I have just experienced. (From an alleged manager?!) Wow. Attached is a photo of all the food I got for a whopping $66. Thanks. Won’t come again.

For our daughter Gabby’s 18th birthday, we decided we just had to surprise her with a dinner at Gabby’s. Sure it was over a two-hour drive, but as we drove by the restaurant, and her eyes popped out reading the Gabby’s sign, the drive was worth it! For the food, I would say calling it “ pub food” is an understatement. It was all the basics, but the quality was really good, made very well and really tasty. All great from the bison burger to fish and chips And the raspberry greek yogurt cheesecake was such a nice twist… The pieces of raspberry cake mixed in with streams of real raspberry sauce made it lighter, fresher and so tasty. Being in such a vibrant part of Toronto was super fun too. The building style and decor and character fit in perfectly. Gave it such a real home-town homey welcoming feeling, with enough interesting features to keep everyone’s eyes off the darn cell phones. We would have normally chosen the outdoor patio, but on this sweltering hot day, the A/C and cold beer tipped the scale to eat inside. Best of all was the service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank our server Melissa who was fun and friendly and attentive, and who really went out of her way to ensure our Gabby and the most amazing 18th birthday dinner ever… at Gabby’s. Thank you so much Melissa!!! We did a few other things that day, but that dinner experience was the highlight for her :) This may become a tradition and we hope to see you again :)

Descent selection of beers, some were not available .. had the crispy chicken sandwich which was recommended by the server. Would rate that as 3 on 5 Buddy got a Philly cheesesteak, the meat was cold and hard so had to send it back ( unfortunately ) and asked for boneless wings with ghost pepper sauce, ( it was the cutest version of ghost pepper we ever tried, tasted like orange chicken from Hong shing Chinese restaurant..) server was very very new, so she had no Experience what so ever, so she had nothing to recommend..( we called for the dessert menu and she said, that I've never seen anyone ordering desserts here, lol)we still managed to make a 250$ bill between 3 people. So all in all, if u r bored and have no place or no other patio available on king st. Give the old gabby a visit. P.s: in 2013-2014 .. king st e gabby's used to be my fav hang out.

It was just one thing after another.

Walked up to the front door to check hours and menu, and had the host open the door and immediately say "no outside food or drink in the restaurant." My sister carried an empty bottle and I a smoothie bowl. Sis was confused and said "what" and he replied with "no outside food or drink. Just like every other restaurant." Proceeded to stand in doorway until we backed up a bit. We weren't even trying to enter. Very condescending.

My family was hungry (I was the only one to eat before) so we threw out the trash and entered anyways. Sign said seat yourself so we did. Waited 10 minutes for waitress to arrive with menus. Ordered hot buffalo wings (keynote: HOT), a beer, and a Coke. Waitress comes back with drinks, and we order two salads. Sat there for 20 minutes, until waitress comes and lets us know there was a mix up and our salads were delivered to the wrong table. No big deal, we can wait. Salads came 10 minutes later, still no wings. Look at the table and there was no silverware. Had to wait another 5 minutes for waitress to return (no wings still and the couple next to us left because they received no service yet). Wings come shortly after. Only they were barbeque wings. Waitress comes to check on us, we tell her the mistake. She stared at the plate of wings for 30 seconds, and said "yeah those are barbeque wings.". Okay? We ordered buffalo wings (we had pointed to the specific sauce on the menu). "Okay no problem let me take that back for you. Just so you know we call them hot wings. Not buffalo."

Came back a few minutes later with the hot wings, and left us be for a solid 30 minutes before checking on us. By then we finished the whole 2lb basket of wings, the salads, and all drinks were empty. Would like to note that it was supposed to be half priced wings on Mondays, check came back with full price. The total ended up being over $55. A beer, a Coke, two salads, and a basket of wings for over $50?

The food was very good, but overpriced, and the service was subpar. We felt unwelcome our whole time there. Would...

This place is one of the most mediocre place I’ve been too. We spent $100.00 (even though the food was less than sub par) only to be kicked out 3 minutes before the last fight ended because I fell asleep for 5 minutes due to a headache. The owner claimed I was drunk (I don’t drink) and I had not consumed any alcohol, then went on to say we didn’t spend the minimum. When asked what the minimum was the owner could not come up with a number. We kept ordering food and he said we stopped ordering food a long time ago (this was not true as the bill was 95.99). A group of teens broke glasses and were sniffing salt off the table but nothing happened to them (they also snuck in people when the owner said they were full and were at full capacity therefore stating no one was allowed in) but 6 disruptive teens came in and he let that slide. The owner yelled because I slept and got up right away when asked to. The waiter was fantastic, but the owner was rude, swore at us, yelled at us and kicked us out for no reason. He was definitely racist as the group of teens were white and he did not say anything. He said it was taking us 10 Minutes to leave when only a minute had passed as the time was being counted down during the fight. I will NOT be going back here nor will I be recommending this horrible racially motivated place to anyone else. The King street location is the worst and should not be open to the public as they do NOT know how to treat their customers. Also I will not...
