Gelato On The Danny & Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Toronto

My husband and I stumbled upon this shop after going to the farmers market near by and we are so glad we stopped by! The staff is super friendly and the lady that helped us was so sweet and welcoming (she was very charming!). She explained the menu and I asked what she would recommend I try and she said lychee and wowwww! My heart stopped for a min cause it was amazing! That’s what you want in a good gelato, the flavours are exactly what they are but in gelato form. My husband and I will be back for sure cause I keep thinking about that lychee flavour! You can’t go wrong with any of thier flavours. Excited to try thier other flavour, can’t recommend this place enough!...

I almost wish I had never discovered this place, because I work across the street and now I can’t stop coming in for a little gelato treat & coffee every day on my lunch. They constantly have new flavours of gelato & ice cream rotating in and out, and they make a fantastic americano.

The owners are lovely people who obviously care very deeply about their community and make an effort to chat with and get to know every customer. A wonderful neighbourhood treasure with genuinely lovely owners who cheerfully scoop cone after cone and helpfully explain all their flavours and ingredients to customers asking queations. They clearly value quality, and are proud to explain the origin of the pistachios, or why Italian non-dairy chocolate gelato is different than Canadian supermarket icecream. Kids welcomed and not pushed into flavour choices, but given lots of time to make the difficult but supremely important selection.
