Go Grill, located near Spadina and College, is an ideal place to grab good food that is freshly made with meat and fresh vegetables, right in front of you. I'd recommend this place to any U of T student who is in the area and wants some good food that isn't overly salty or fried.
I had read a few Google reviews before heading over to GoGrill and this place did not disappoint! Rami, chef and owner, clearly is passionate about his business. I had the pleasure of meeting Rami who pleasantly greeted all of his customers. He's got regular customers who will come in and knows their orders by heart! He was polite and respectful to his staff as well leading to a very comfortable environment. Place looks clean and seating is available.
Featured in the images are the following food items: *teriyaki chicken wrap - very satisfying and filling, love the fresh vegetables that still had a crunch! *ginger beef rice (no veggies) - special of the day (someone correct me if I'm wrong on this), affordable especially when you see the portion. Nice flavour, again, not too salty which I really appreciated. *chicken and veggie udon - again, flavour was great, not too salty, loved the crunch on the fresh vegetables, udon noodles were not mushy and still had a nice chew.
Honestly, what I appreciated most about all 3 meals is how fresh they tasted. In the area with so many university students, it's a little disappointing to see how much of it is deep fried. Sure, I love a good fry as much as anyone else but I need fresh, healthy variety as well. GoGrill did just that - price point was reasonable for the amount of food you get and they have a lot of options and price points, with different proteins to choose from.
This is one place, I'd...
Read moreRamy, the owner whose passion for food is as evident as his culinary skills, made us a ginger beef rice bowl and it was a standout dish that truly showcases his talent for food and flavour. The beef is tender and succulent, marinated to perfection with a hint of ginger that's not overpowering but rather complementary. The rice, fluffy and aromatic, serves as the ideal base for the rich, savoury sauce he added and the crisp, fresh vegetables add a delightful crunch. Kudos to Ramy for crafting this dish. Can’t wait to try more...
Read moreStopped in here in the middle of an awful heat wave today- I had to go to the university bookstore, and I just needed something quick. I just have to say, the guys working here are so great! He got me some water, and brought out a fan for me because I’d been walking around outside in the sun so I could cool off. Very respectful, friendly without being pushy, very fresh food (the beef left a lot of be desired, but I should have figured for the very reasonable price. But the udon noodles and veggies...
