I went to this location at the corner of Kennedy and Lawrence this afternoon after work. As I stood in line, I was examining the staff. The young man at cashier was wearing a mask and gloves. The young lady who dresses your burger was wearing a mask and gloves.
The burger chef however was using bare hands. I watched as he delivered a few burgers to the warming/waiting area with his bare hands. He then turned and grabbed something from the fridge behind him - perhaps nuggets or rings. He dumped those into the deep fryer and turned back to the burgers. I couldnt help but wonder how clean the fridge handle was. Then he went back to the burger grill.
I left at that point and am literally typing this as I decide what to make for dinner. These arent the times/days to handle peoples food with not only bare hands but hands that are holding onto various items, handles, etc around the kitchen. Other stores...ie) Walmart, Dollarma stocking shelves etc...no gloves no problem. But holding my food??? You need gloves sir. Unacceptable.
To be fair, perhaps their food is good. I didnt eat and left before ordering. Perhaps I will revisit in the future as Harveys is pretty scarce around here. If I see the burger chef is not wearing gloves again, Ill leave a follow up review. Perhaps, this is the way Harveys does things - I havent been to Harveys in a few years. If so, they need to modify...
Read moreI went to this location with my wife for supper and thought I would try the fish burger but never again will I get that burger. The fish burger had barely no taste to it or even smelled like one as my wife said so no more fish burger from Harvey's. Far as service it seemed fast and we had no problem this time around we do miss some of the past workers that have worked at this location they were great workers and very friendly and wish a couple was still here. Forsure I will say at times this location needs to get after their staff to clean the washroom's better at time's as they smell at time's and just not clean. One big question I really do not understand is why a/c on to make it so cold in your restaurant we did not enjoy trying to eat like it was mid winter inside. The temp outside was like 23c and you had the a/c on like it was in the high 30's we both had coats with us and no choice to wear them while we ate and we were still cold. This has been been going on all summer. Youre costing extra money I am sure to have it so cold in the store so turn it down I have heard a number of people saying it's to cool in there. We are customers that want to enjoy our food not be freezing. I know the weather is going to be cooling down even more soon and if I go back and it is still cool inside and it's cool outside we will be leaving without food there is no no need of it so...
Read moreFirst off, getting in this place when you have a mobility device is not easy as the doors are not automatic. Secondly, while our order was taken right away and we were called over to dress my burger quickly, we then waited almost 10 minutes for the rest of our food. There were three customers served their food before us, that had order after us. Two of those orders included chicken strips which we were waiting for as well as waiting on fries and onion rings. It wasn't until I finally asked what was going on that the rest of our food was given to us. It would have been really nice, if we had to wait so long, for someone to say something to us. The girl that got my burger ready was just standing around doing nothing. They could have told us that it would be a bit and let us have a seat. Instead, they make us wait without any explanation. Then, when we finally get to sit down and eat, the pop is flat in both our drinks. They were two different kinds of pop so it wasn't the type of drink. On top of the problems with the food/drinks the washrooms are not accessible and it smelled like urine down the hall to the washrooms. This is not the first time I have had problems with this location but, it will probably be the last time I visit this particular restaurant. I will find another Harvey's to go to...
