This is such a cute hidden gem in Toronto, and visiting this sandwich shop was a very nice and quaint experience, the park just gives us such a nice vibe.
The place is self is very small with the very minimal seating so just be aware, and the one thing that threw me off mostly about this place was the pricing. It is really outrageous for the small portion sizes you are getting. Like I can understand that the ingredients being used are high-quality but you are not running a full huge restaurant. There can be an argument made to say that oh we are giving you such a good quality sandwich but for that $13 price point, not including any drinks, or anything on the side just a sandwich with a few pieces of meat and the pickle is kind of crazy to me.
The service overall was quick and accommodating and I do give kudos to anybody who has an idea to make a sandwich shop like that at a park.
I will say the overall experience of just sitting down in the park on a hot sunny day and eating that nice great tasting sandwich is nice but again overall it’s just...
Read moreWe were craving Japanese sando and we decided to trek to this place. It took a while cause the roads were one way and we had no idea it was in the middle of the park. Figuratively speaking it's a hole in a wall but we were very pleasantly surprised. The owner is very courteous. I loved the atmosphere and will come back during the evening to experience it at night. The batter for the karage and ebi was spot on super crunchy and not oily. Neatly packed. Compared to many popular in the GTA sandwiches, this place would give it a good a run for its money for sure. One of my favorite places now. And I would rather support s small business...
Read moreI've been to Imanishi Sando bar a long time ago. 2019 or 2020? I got the hype, and I'm happy it’s doing so well in the city now. The tonkatsu is thick and well-fried, with really tasty coleslaw, tangy katsu sauce, mustard pickle relish, and soft toast buns.
That said, the price-to-value ratio is just a huge letdown to me. The sando was really small (snack-bite size), and it was almost 15 dollars. To add an order of fries, it will cost 25 dollars (adding a drink—35 dollars). I always like and appreciate Imanishi Sando Bar; I just hope that the price could be more reasonable for...
