For appetizers, ordered the lamb skewers, they weren't bad but not amazing and the GF fried chicken was good.

For mains, got the pork belly (the flavour was really nice). The Brussel sprouts were alright, they had more of a bitter flavour so you can't eat too much all at once, need to break up the taste. The indonesian fried rice, I didnt really enjoy because it was completely cold when it came so it was extremely disappointing. I think they prepared the dish and it sat there for a long time until the pork and Brussel sprouts were ready but even the pork and brussel sprouts weren't freshly hot when they came so perhaps after everything was ready, the food still sat there before the server came to collect it. It was just disappointing to eat cold food and not be able to truly enjoy the flavors because of it.

I would go back to give this place another chance, I think it's nice overall but if there's another issue with being served dishes that are cold, I won't go back. Otherwise the service was decent, we got drinks and they checked in on us from time to time during our visit. However one thing i didn't like was how the server mentioned they will give us 4 skewers instead of 3 since there's 2 of us and so we dont jokingly fight over it. The way he said it made it sound like that's something nice he'll just add for us. When the bill came, we both got charged for it..the charge is not an issue but the way the server positioned it was not right. He could have said we can add a 4th skewer for you guys so you both get 2 each, its just an additional charge of xx. And then we would...

Service :5/5 Let me start my saying, this place has one the Best service of any restaurant I’ve been to! We were received by Robin when we got there and despite of not having a reservation we were accommodated within 15 minutes. Mind you the place was packed but Robin personally came to get us when we were waiting outside and was an absolute gem! Our server was also very sweet although I forgot to get her name.

Cocktails: 5/5 He recommended 2 cocktails that were amazing! We got the Kitimani Rum Punch which was as an amazing amalgamation of different kinds of rum with a slight coconuty after taste, felt like I was in. Hawaii sipping cocktails on the beach. And we got the It's All Gone Peach Tong and let me tell you Iv never liked Gin so much in my life ! It was melon gin and it tasted nothing like alcohol, the cucumber and gin were so refreshing, it felt like a day at the spa

Food:4.7/5

We had the Braised Beef short rib which was braised in Java spice and omg ! The beef was so tender and required absolute no effort. It literally melted in my mouth and the Java spice had bit of a kick to it which I loved ! The fried rice was not my favourite, it was a bit too sweet for my taste But the lamb skewers were amazing ! I loved the spice and flavour. I loved how nicely charred it was and that buttery sauce on top was complimenting it so well! The chicken skewers were so tender and charred so well and the creamy peanut sauce with a hint of spice was nothing less than an explosion.

This place has a rotating menu and it keeps changing so will deff be back to try more...

I recommend not ordering holiday drinks, and the service can be a hit-or-miss.

My group of friends made a reservation well in advance, and our server appeared visibly annoyed with us the moment we arrived. We decided to ignore it, get seated, and order the specials.

After the first few sips of the Polar Express, Rum Punch, Rudolph's Red Nose, and a few others, it was clear that nobody actually liked them—they tasted either like cardboard or nothing like the ingredients list. Those who ordered cocktails advised others within the group to stick to simple mixed drinks.

The last of the initial order arrived, but the bartender spilled the entirety of it on one of our group members. This wasn't a big deal; accidents happen, they apologized and re-made the drink.

The night went on, and 30 mins before our reservation ended, the server stopped taking orders, leaving us confused since we were only on our second drink (a few finishing their first). Again, we shrugged it off with the plan to finish our drinks, pay, and go elsewhere.

We received the bill, and our server tried to include the replacement spilled drink on the bill, even though they were beside us when it happened.

Overall, the experience could be improved... Apart from the spilled drink, the specials were terrible and expensive ($18+), plus the server's visible annoyance and refusal to serve the group during our brief reso was disappointing, especially considering the +20% auto-gratuity.

I've dined in previously and enjoyed the food, so maybe today was just an off day. Regardless, this experience...

Little Sister does not disappoint. We used to go to their first restó at Yonge, years ago and it was our first time in Portland. Food quality is the same. Delicious, flavourful and eye widening yummy! We tried their Summerlicious menu and my favourites from the top are: Pork Slaw - I didn’t expect this to taste so good. Layers of flavours, sweet, a little sourness, a bit of soy sauce salty, a tiny bit spicy and the after taste of Southeast Asian herbs. It packs a punch of flavour. I can eat this dish all day. Next was the salmon on a rice puff biscuit. Flavourful too and just as delicious but it would be my 2nd. Third was the Brussels sprouts. This was cooked so well, the sweetness and the sourness of the tamarind was just a tad but it blended so well with the rest of the flavours they used. Winner too! Fourth was the flank steak, it had layers of all interesting and exciting flavours. It was sooo good! The prawn kari (curry) was so so. I’ve tasted far better Indonesian curries in Asia. It lacked the deep curry flavour but they were generous with 6 big tiger prawns in the kari. For dessert, the pineapple cake was ok. Maybe I will try their custard next time. Their coffee ce cream was quite delicious. The coffee was strong, so perfect. Interiors were fabulous. For a small space, they did it very well. Congratulations to the team who designed this. Overall, this is definitely a restaurant I would recommend.
