I made a visit yesterday afternoon, and it turned out to be their first day!

Located just on the outer edges of Stackt, this a small takeout-only sushi spot; there's no room for seating. They have a menu of made-to-order food, but they also sell pre-made rolls, appetizers/sides, and bottled and canned drinks in their little fridge.

I purchased the rolls & Nigiri combo (priced at ~$19.99). Overall, the rice:fish ratio was a bit off (too much rice). However, it was their first day, and both the fish and rice were fresh, which is more important, in my opinion. I would say they sell more low-mid tier type of sushi. What you'd hope your grocery/refrigerated sushi would taste like but it ends up being hard and disappointing, this place aim for their rolls to be as fresh as possible by the time you get to eat it.

If I'm in the area again, I would definitely make a visit and try out other options...

First off.. this place makes the most oishii Japanese eats! They not only sell sushi/sashimi, but they’ve got poke bowls, chicken karaage, takoyaki, creamy seafood udon… and so much more.

I’ve been eating here since they’ve opened and have always gone back. I always go here for my lunch/dinner bc I know I’m going to get a yummy delicious meal to eat and never had any doubts about it. Also, my tummy’s always really happy right after the meal.

The interior is screams kawaii (cute). I love the neko sushi banner they have on their displays along with all the yummy snacks and drinks they offer.

The owner of the restaurant is extremely sweet and is always preparing the food with utmost care and love. He has always been pleasant to chat with.

Honestly, Oi Sushi should be noticed more. Although tucked on the side of STACKT, I think people should give the food a try. Believe me,...

Always fresh, always delicious. The price is very competitive for the neighborhood, especially considering the quality. I've never had even a remotely negative experience here, and the man who works the counter is so nice!

For those that left reviews saying the rice was stale and you ordered from Too Good to Go (the platform where you literally rescue food from being thrown out)... Try ordering on Ritual and pay full price instead? There's a reason the food is sold at such a steep discount on Too Good to Go and it's because it's being binned if you don't snag it. This feels like a Darwin Award and I'm sad that it needs explaining.

*No seating indoors, limited outdoor seating. Plan to take the food to go. There is seating in Stakt and a few...

A small shop in Stacked market with good quality sushi for the price. Good seasoned rice is essential to good sushi and this place does it well. Well cooked grains of rice, a hint of vinegar, salt and sweetness that compliments the fish well. There’s not many places that do a simple hosomaki (seaweed outside) so I was glad to find this one. Hosomaki can be underrated because it has only three ingredients - rice, nori and one topping. But when the rice if done well, it’s amazing! There’s very little seating (2 person bar) but great for take out. I opt to call ahead to reduce my wait time. Using the ordering apps probably take away some profit from the owners and it’s always nice to support a small business!
