Updated review Following my initial review, I had a profoundly positive conversation with the owner of the shawarma shop. Not only did he take the time to address my concerns, but he also displayed genuine remorse for the previous order inaccuracies. It was abundantly clear that he is deeply committed to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a delightful experience for all patrons.
During our discussion, the owner went above and beyond to reassure me of his dedication to customer satisfaction. He outlined immediate steps to enhance order accuracy and expressed his unwavering determination to make things right. This level of responsiveness and care for customers was nothing short of exceptional and truly commendable.
What struck me most was the owner's sincere passion for his business and his customers. He didn't just promise improvement; he exuded a genuine commitment to delivering on that promise. It's rare to encounter such dedication in the world of dining establishments, and I was genuinely impressed.
I am eager to place a new order and experience the positive changes firsthand. I have no doubt that with an owner who is as devoted to his customers as he is to crafting the best shawarma in town, this shawarma shop has the potential to become the ultimate destination for shawarma lovers. My anticipation for my next order is elevated, and I'm confident that it will be a truly exceptional experience. Google only allows 5 stars for reviews, but this place deserves 11 out of 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Previous Review I've been a regular customer at this shawarma shop for quite some time now, and I must say they serve some of the tastiest shawarma in town. The flavors and quality of the shawarma itself are exceptional, and it's the main reason I keep coming back.
However, I've had a consistent issue with my orders when I use Uber Eats. Despite putting detailed notes in my orders, and asking them to double-check the toppings and special requests, they have repeatedly gotten my orders wrong. and today, I ordered a shawarma plate, and to my surprise, I received a completely different order with just rice and chicken and no sauce no toppings different rice.
It's frustrating because I take extra care to ensure my orders are accurate, but it seems like my requests are often overlooked. I believe the management of this shawarma shop needs to address this issue urgently. While the food is delicious, the frequent order mix-ups have left me really really disappointed. I hope they can improve their order accuracy...
Read moreI've been going here since the original name was changed to Jerusalem Shawarma (name of the business before the current name) and have never been disappointed.
The service is always so great. The people behind the counter are always friendly and smiling, which makes the amazing tasting food taste even more amazing. The place has a somewhat homey feel to it. I walked in once near closing and a bunch of the workers were getting ready to sit down and celebrate the first evening meal of Ramadan together with their families and it gave such a warm feeling.
The quality of the ingredients are always above average: veggies are always fresh, meat is always juicy, etc.
The shawarma masters (I'm not even exaggerating) create one of the most delicious little bundles of satisfaction I've ever tasted in the entire city. They're very generous with the toppings that most places will give little of and even offer what other places consider special toppings for free. Being asked if I'd like rice and potatoes in my shawarma almost feels surreal.
There's one topping and one sauce that are so good here that they deserve their own paragraph in this review. Most places I've been to offer eggplant as a special side dish, but Shadi Shawarma's moussaka, which is included for free, is out of this world. What they simply describe as "Eggplant, Tomatoes, and Onions cooked mixed with spices" takes their already delicious shawarma and brings it to a whole other level. It's a must. Also, they have a mango sauce (amba) that I've only seen offered at one other place in all of Toronto. You typically need to ask for it (I assume not that many people get it) so make sure that you do. It might seem odd to have a sauce made with mango in a savory dish, but it works extremely well. If you haven't already tried it take the leap of faith one day and give it a go.
Lastly, the people who work here have such good taste in music. Probably nobody was wondering about this but I felt like I needed to...
Read morePresent updated review: I called Mr. Shadi after the review, he promised me good service and replacement of the same order , he apologized for the food. I went to pick up the food, the person working there was extremely friendly and apologized for last night’s food. I understood it wasn’t a regular day, it happened because of extreme orders and it was an honest mistake. I came home and tried the shawarma plate, it is actually very delicious, not a typical shawarma plate. The veggies were tasty, grilled veggies were yumm and the rice was perfectly cooked and flavourful. The guy even gave me free Baklava. Thank you Mr. Shadi and the guy who made my order today. I recommend this place not because I got free food , but the cleanliness is also top notch! Very good customer service and tasty food. Keep up the good work 👍 Previous Review: Pathetic experience!!! Just because We ordered at 3 am doesn’t mean you serve us uncooked rice. We ordered BOGO shawarma plate after , the rice in it was completely uncooked! It was almost like raw rice. Can’t be how you guys can serve this to your customers. I can understand that the food would have been tasty if the rice was good , but couldn’t eat at all , had to separate the rice and the chicken and some how killed my hunger with this uncooked shawarma plate. Never going to order from this place. I wanted to call the store right away but since it’s past 3 , I didn’t, but definitely leaving a review for others to read! Not sure why I’m not able to upload pics, I wish I could show everyone what I was served! The sad part is , the food WASN’T EDIBLE at all! Atleast if the taste was bad or something I wouldn’t mind honestly, as long as it filled my stomach, but this was a COMPLETE WASTE...
