My visit to Slayer Burger in Toronto's East End was a disheartening experience that left me unimpressed and unsatisfied. Despite its intriguing name and promising concept, the reality fell far short of expectations, delivering a raw and overpriced meal that left much to be desired.

The main culprit of my disappointment was the rawness of the burger. The patty's center was alarmingly undercooked, an issue that not only compromised the taste but also raised concerns about food safety. It was a disappointing oversight that marred the entire dining experience and highlighted a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen.

Adding insult to injury was the pricing of the meal. The cost far exceeded the quality and portion size offered. While some gourmet burger establishments may justify their prices with exceptional ingredients and culinary artistry, Slayer Burger failed to deliver on both fronts. The imbalance between what was provided and what was charged left me questioning the value of the meal.

Service at Slayer Burger was lackluster, further contributing to the unsatisfactory experience. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive, failing to address my concerns about the undercooked patty in a manner that would instill confidence or rectify the issue.

The atmosphere of the restaurant did little to salvage the experience. With a lack of ambiance or unique décor, Slayer Burger failed to create a distinctive and inviting environment that could have helped compensate for the culinary shortcomings.

In a city teeming with diverse and high-quality dining options, my experience at Slayer Burger was a regrettable one. The combination of a raw and poorly executed burger coupled with an unjustifiably high price point makes it difficult to recommend this establishment to others. For those seeking a satisfying and memorable meal, there are undoubtedly better alternatives available in Toronto's East End that offer both...

Yoo boys what happened?? This used to be the BEST burger joint east of the river. The slit burger was insane, now you guys changed the menu up and it seems like a different bun, and the burgers aren't as good and the seasoning tastes different. Plus the dip that came with the fries is gone? The fries I got tasted old and stale. I dunno what happened but this sucks man.

So disappointed

Edit: Replying to that response. Sorry man but the slit burger is no longer listed anywhere on the menu on the website or for online ordering. I'm not talking about the Slit MAC, just the regular slit burger. Seems to be gone and the websites don't give an option for making your own. Not to mention the slit mac is crazy expensive and doesn't come with fries. It's like over 30 dollars for 1 burger and fries after tax? If two people are going out I might as well go to the keg or a full sit down restaurant.

There is an option to ask for the sauce online, however you used to get it automatically and there was no warning of this change.

But regardless, the quality just wasn't there the last couple times we've been in, and that's in addition to the menu change/confusion. I'll be back in to give it another shot. I've eaten here countless times and told tons of people about this restaurant, trust me I wouldn't leave a negative review if I didn't feel like...

A Metalhead's Dream Come Trve 🖤🤘🏽

Finally, the day arrived! I'd been eyeing Slayer Burger on Queen Street East for YEARS, after seeing their location across from the iconic Opera House promising a unique dining experience. As a metalhead who's witnessed countless legendary shows at that very venue, the allure was undeniable.

From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was electrifying. The friendly staff, led by the charismatic Mac, exuded a passion for food and music that was infectious. Guided by Mac's expert recommendations, I opted for the Vecna burger: a mouthwatering masterpiece featuring a perfectly grilled patty, caramelized onions, gooey cheddar, earthy truffle mushrooms, and a fiery Nashville sauce. All this deliciousness was sandwiched between a charcoal bun and drizzled with their signature Slayer sauce.

But the culinary adventure didn't stop there. The crispy, crinkle-cut fries were the perfect complement to the burger, and their homemade aioli elevated every bite. Paired with a refreshing Slayer Pilsner, it was a match made in metal heaven.

I can't wait to return to explore more of their menu, including their enticing breakfast burger offerings. If you're a fan of good food, great music, and a killer atmosphere, Slayer Burger is an...

Always great to see new business coming into to the area. My first Slayer Burger experience was just ok. It was easy to order online and give this 5 stars. I did a 7pm pick up and when I arrived it took a couple of minutes for 1 of 3 people working the front to say hello (I was the only customer inside at the front counter)I noticed 2 bags of food sitting off to the side while the staff handled the packing of 2 bags. Finally someone looked up and said yes... order? I proceeded to say my name and order number and the girl slid my bag over and walked away so I give the service 1 star. Fast forward to getting home... my $20 chicken sandwich meal was just ok. The handful of truffle fries in my box were cold. The sandwich was ok. There was way too much slayer sauce on both sides of the meat. Add a little bit of wilted arugula and it made the eating process very slippery and messy. Overall my experience was nothing exciting for my first visit ever. It seems that if things are really busy then maybe hire some more staff to help or maybe the owners should be on-site? I will probably give it another go at some point later in the summer.
