Sultan's Mediterranean Grill - Victoria St. — Restaurant in Toronto

Really disappointed. I have gone to bay st (royal bank plaza) location which is great. However this Victoria St location is not the same. The location closes at 10 pm and when I went there today at 3 pm, they did not had chicken kabob, the person told me it will take 1 hour for him to cook. This is not acceptable as they should have half cooked the kabob. Secondly they did not had white sauce unlike other location and when I asked twice the person said it is finished. On top of that the water was spilled under one of the tables and no one cleaned it although there were barely any customers when I went. I will not be returning to this location for sure.

The food was ok, no complains, but when a customer comes to a restaurant, they expect a certain service which was definitely missing as per above comments. As a customer facing/service business, you should take each feedback seriously whether good or bad. The question is not that the chicken shawarma was served or not, but that the other item (Chicken kabob) was not there. Why was the white sauce not there at 3 pm when your location closes at 10 pm? In terms of the whole family, yes my mother was happy, but this is not my first time I visited Sultan’s franchise so I can definitely compare your location to others. I don’t usually write long reviews, but this restaurant truly deserves recognition. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and a smile — the kind of hospitality that instantly sets the tone for a great evening.

The interior is stylish yet cozy, with just the right ambiance for a relaxing meal. But the real star of the show? The food. Every dish was a masterpiece. Ordered dinner from Sultan's, a quick service restaurant, and specifically the Victoria and Adelaide location. This particular location shares both a kitchen and employees with a neighbouring counter selling jerk chicken.

I ordered the Sultan's Mix, a tray which contains both chicken and beef shawarma. In an oddity for this type of chain, it was actually the beef shawarma that was more flavourful; the chicken was very mild.

Hummus and garlic dip were both nice additions that improved the plate. The potatoes were fine. Of the two salads provided, one is fantastic and the other is just okay. Spice level on the shawarma and rice was quite low, it would have been nice to customize this.

Price is a touch high, though portion size is excellent. Impressed with the molded takeout container which keeps all items separated, though if you order, be careful when handling the bag as the container lid does not seal.

Overall a decent option for Toronto take-out of you're nearby and in the mood for shawarma. Next time I'll order just the beef plate, ask for more spice, and see...
