I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Sushi Bong, and I must say, it left an indelible impression on my discerning palate. Sushi Bong deftly balances affordability with an exceptional commitment to sushi quality. From the moment I stepped in, the inviting ambiance set the stage for a delightful culinary journey. The menu, while affordable, boasts an impressive array of sushi options that captured my attention.
What truly distinguishes them is their meticulous attention to detail in every sushi creation. The freshness of the fish was palpable, and the rice possessed that perfect balance of texture and flavour that separates the ordinary from the extraordinary. Each roll was a work of art, meticulously crafted with precision and care.
The delectable fusion of flavours danced on my taste buds, a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs at Sushi Bong. The use of high-quality ingredients was evident, and the presentation was nothing short of elegant.
Despite the affordability, Sushi Bong maintains a dedication to authenticity that pleasantly surprised me. The traditional techniques and flavours were upheld with reverence, showcasing a genuine commitment to the essence of sushi.
In my professional opinion, Sushi Bong is a restaurant that effortlessly combines exceptional sushi quality with prices that won't break the bank. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer to this culinary art, I wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant for a truly memorable and satisfying sushi experience. Your taste buds and your wallet will...
Read moreWe've given this popular spot 3 chances to impress us over the last year and it just gets more depressing each time. A year ago we ordered a spider roll and it was decent and decided a month later to try it again. Unfortunately the sushi and sashimi was disappointing, the fish wasn't all that fresh despite the assumed high turnover of products, being a popular spot at a high traffic location. Almost a year later we've decided to give this spot an opportunity to redeem itself and have reverted that decision. The rice in every item we ordered was stale, there was no way it was cooked the day of. How did we know this? You know when rice gets refrigerated it becomes brittle and breaks. They didn't even bother reheating the rice before trying to make sushi of it, instead they just let the rice come to room temperature. This is inexcusable. The fish was ok, actually better than the last time. We ordered the hue dup bap and it wasn't very good at all. There was lots of onions and large chunks of lettuce, trace amounts of red cabbage and a handful of carrots that stuck together. The spider roll was not good, I'm not even sure what happened there. The only passable thing of the items we ordered was the spicy salmon roll. The Unagi donburi was also very disappointing. Given that Bong is maybe a dollar cheaper at most of day it's poor value for cost. I'd recommend going a block in any direction and you'd find better quality and relatively...
Read moreI came to eat at Sushi Bong first time about 7 years ago. It was the first place in Canada where I try sushi. Sushi was absolutely amazing! Fresh, super delicious, big portions and very affordable. Since then I've been eating sushi in multiple cities: Toronto, Mississauga, North York, Richmond Hill, Hamilton, Dundas, Port Colborn and I never had a better sushi than at the Sushi Bong. Today, I ordered to go a rainbow roll and miso soup at one place in Dundas ON. When I came home and open the box there was one bag of soy sauce (which I consider to be very cheap) and not very delicious rainbow roll (if I wouldn't know how amazing rainbow rolls are I would probably never order it again after today's order). And again I wish I had a sushi in Toronto at the Sushi Bong (too long to commute unfortunately). I guess, what I am trying to say is that I truly appreciate not only a quality of the sushi, but also that guys never cheap out even once during all that time I ate there. Thank you guys for your dedication and professionalism! You are the best!
ps: and guys always smile and welcome you with hello in your language (if they know you already and know what language you speak). I always thought it's cute and...
