It would probably have tasted alright if it had arrived within a reasonable amount of time. First I placed my order with the University Avenue location which is closest to me but somehow it was rerouted to this Yonge & St Clair restaurant. Checking the drivers location, I find he's not only zig zagging all over God's country but also stuck at one delivery stop for quite some time & from what I can see, one of several deliveries. Meeting him in the lobby to save time as parking is wishful thinking, he tells me I have to pay. No, I paid online but he insists. So back I go to get both credit card & phone to check on my bill. BTW, he didn't even have the machine with him when he asked me to pay as it was in the car. Back upstairs that's when the multiple phone calls from him start to come in, of which I answered two. He tells me it's paid for...ok I hang up. As I open one bag, he calls again in a panic, yells for me not to open the bags as he's given me the wrong order. Too late I tell him and back down I go to return the food. We exchange packages and he says something about Swiss Chalet being all messed up. The guy was hyper and I just take my food and head back up...again. My food? Cold as ice...but still made for a nice picture. Dinner for one at 40 bucks and a seriously bad experience. ...
Read moreProbably, THE WORST experience my family and I have ever had with delivery from this location. We ordered our dinner at 5:20 pm last night and did not receive it until 7:15 pm. We called the delivery line around 6:30 pm to find out what happened to our order, and they told us our order still not left the location for delivery. When we were finally notified that the delivery was on it way (by the app), the driver was going the wrong way! We called the store again at 7 pm told them we still not received our order and they told us that we would be receiving our order soon. I explained that because it had taken so long, the logical way to handle this would be to give us our for free. The woman on the phone said she couldn't do that because she had already charged my credit card, and it could take up to 90 days for a credit on the credit card (I work in retail and I know for a fact that is not true). Instead, she offered us a credit for our next order (ok whatever fine). When we finally did receive the order at 7:15 pm, the driver said the store was really busy and did not apologize or anything. Our food was totally cold and soggy. To top it off, the restaurant forgot to include any Chalet Sauce. Will definitely not be ordering Swiss Chalet again anytime soon after this...
Read moreThis location is such a hit or miss with their delivery, I live 5 mins away but somehow every 3rd or 4th order seems to have some issue, as much as I love Swiss chalet, I'm pretty turned off at the delivery service this location and probably won't take my chances.
In June it took 3 1/2 hours to get my order, had to call them 3 times. The first said it was an issue with my card I entered online, told them it went through as it was a visa debit and I could check right away and had a confirmation email which they accused me of lying till I gave them the order number. After waiting and the delivery time came and went, I called again and they said the order didn't go through and will send it out right away. Finally had to call a 3rd time and got a "don't know why it didn't go out but was going to figure it out and sent it soon" and like Today it arrives cold.
Today, the drive took 45mins, the app tracked the order as "On Its Way" (and no, there isn't any construction and it's 9pm). Called the "customer service" and the only options were to get a pathetic $10 credit which can't be used online and expires or wait another 50 mins to swap my order with a new one, which I'm hoping it's actually warm as that's the option I took. Really not impressed with what they call...
