We had a great meal at Sushi Hinode. When in Fort Langley, this is where we would recommend you go for modern Japanese food in a relaxed environment. Service was attentive and friendly. We were seated in the middle of this relatively small restaurant and took advantage of the opportunity to people watch. Our waiter answered our questions and our order arrived quickly. The restaurant is modern, maintained, and clean. Active cleaning and sanitizing was taking place between seatings, which is nice to see. There is a honey pine and warm white colour palette at play here, which is relaxing and modern. The food was delicious and well presented. The fish was fresh without any indication of sitting too long. The sushi rice had an exceptionally nice balance of sweet and tart, which caught our attention as something we enjoyed. Portions were generous; but not cut into pieces that are more than a mouthful (a problematic habit at other sushi establishments). I recommend Sushi Hinode. I can't criticize anything about our experience and we will be returning customers. It is worth both your time and money.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Sushi Hinode in Fort Langley, BC with my lovely lady. The freshness of the fish used in their sushi was evident in every bite, and the skillful preparation resulted in truly delicious dishes. As someone who enjoys gluten-free options, I was delighted to find that they offer gluten-free soy sauce, which enhanced my dining experience. The bright and airy space created a welcoming atmosphere that added to the enjoyment of the meal. The staff were not only friendly but also very attentive, ensuring that our needs were met promptly. A standout from the menu was undoubtedly the Spicy Tuna Roll. The combination of flavors and the perfect level of spiciness made it an absolute delight. Overall, Sushi Hinode is a must-visit for sushi enthusiasts. With its fresh ingredients, accommodating options, inviting ambiance, and friendly staff, it's a place where a sushi fix can be satisfied with great delight.

Service and taste were fabulous! I went to have dinner with my two sisters and 2 yrs old niece. We ordered agedashi tofu, plain udon noodle soup, some special rolls and nigiri suhi. EVERY SINGLE ITEM was fresh and yummy. I often found other sushi places serve raw fish that is way too chewy, and amount of rice on rolls and nigiri are too much. I like the way they use small amount of rice but still tastes very uthentiv legit good food. And the server gave my niece some cute stickers from her own pocket! We had the best experience today.

Order the salmon bomb.

I'm serious. If each sushi restaurant has a hidden gem on their menu that is unique and delightful, then this one wins. Salmon and scallop aburi around a small core of rice creates a delectable starter that sets the tone for a wonderful and memorable meal.

I've found reserving a table is a good idea unless you don't mind doing takeout instead (they do both well), as the demand readily exceeds capacity, but it is so worth it to eat in. Not only is the view out the windows excellent for Fort Langley people watching, the view inside of the hard working chefs and delightful waitstaff is a constant reminder of their competence, good attitude, and all-around pleasantness.

Besides, everything on their menu is wonderful, and if you can't find something you want, order something you don't find. I recommend asking for the Toro sashimi aburi style.

Previously under another name until acquired by new management, the very best of the prior establishment has been further enhanced. So good it makes me want to overtip. I'll be back again and again and...
