Came with super high expectations based on the photos and other peopleās reviews! Unfortunately for $60 my husband and I left unsatisfied. Enchiladas were a good sized portion and came with rice and beans for just under $20. The tacos were an entire situation of their own, however. A lot of the food comes with ārulesā. You canāt mix and match tacos of āspecial meatsā (pastor, chorizo, carnitas) and MUST only choose one. Interesting concept. What if I donāt want three carnitas? When I asked if I could buy a singular chorizo taco, the answer was yet another no. Iām not sure why š§. For $17 youād assume the tacos come with rice and beans, but alas, they do not, and to order a (giant) side of them cost $8. Chips and salsa were tasty by again, pricy. For $60 we wonāt be back, unfortunately. This new commercial drive spot has potential but imo I wonāt be back. A shame because I was so excited to finally have an āAmericanā style Mexican place...

Came across this place on a walk and gave it a try today. Ordered the enchiladas plate with the trio meat selection. I really enjoyed it. The carnitas and beef enchiladas were very good, they had excellent flavour and were not too spicy!
The meat was soft and had a good texture. The chicken enchiladas however were okay but I found them a bit dry but the sauce helped. The spicy green sauce is quite hot, Iām glad I tried it on the side. The beans and rice that came with the plate were okay.
This place has a couple things going, the price is good for what you get, itās not expensive, the portions are very large and the food is good. I would come back again and try out their quesadillas and bowls. Overall a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got the chicken fajita burrito which the person at the cash said was the biggest burrito they served but it was medium sized. It was smaller than a Chipotle burrito and cost about twice as much with tip.
The burrito included maybe 100g of chicken to 2-3 pounds of rice. They even skimped on the saute-ed bell peppers. So the ratio was all off and it was covered in red sauce, green sauce and sour cream. I call them sauce because Iām not sure if it was salsa.
If youāre trying to fill up on mainly rice, this is the place to go! But if youāre trying to eat actual food with nutrients, you should go elsewhere.
My stomach wasnāt feeling very good and I wasnāt full either which is about as authentic as it gets.
I canāt complain about the atmosphere, itās a typical low energy pay at the counter type place so it was...
