Food is ok, it's good for a fast snack if you are on the go or grabbing a bunch of things for a summer picnic and in the area. NOTE: pls pls make sure you check the amount they charge you,TAKE YOUR RECEIPTS, they rip you off knowing most ppl do not take their receipts. My friend warned me, as they are known for this, they try to take $1.50 here or $2.50 over there, hoping they don't get caught and then keep saying it's always an accident. Usually I would think it's an honest mistake, but I only been there 5 times and 3 out of the 5 times they continuously charged me more incorrectly..🤔 * EDITTED Oct 29 2023 Ok these ppl are officially scammers this is the FOURTH time they did this (mind you I don't come often, so it goes to show this happens majority of the time unless you buy only 1 item!!) I even purposely bought easy mathable items for them to calculate so there is no confusion, as last time i bought a lot of small different variety and they struggle to comprehend their own prices charging me 6 dollars extra. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE i promise you you're better off going to T&T or any other bakery is better than these dishonest lil thieves. The ppl who say this place is good are ppl who never tries other places, ppl come here for the convenience of the location only. Let all your friends know as well and we won't be coming back to this shady fraudulent business. See attached photo, chicken bao says $25.50, she types $30 it's just too obvious when you can memorize items without price tags but the one with the price tag on it that i point too you want to sneakily put smth else...next time if you want to rip me off at least let me know so that I don't keep tipping. 😅 ridiculous. Do not support a dirty business with the reputation of stealing money.

EDIT: Well, I don't know what to say. My orders are still messed up, always missing a thing or two. I don't love the bao here enough to continue wasting my money like this. :( EDIT 2: Bf got some bao on his way home and look what we found! A piece of thread in the dough. EDIT 3 (2025): 3 years after my last edit and still the same--absolutely horrible customer service here. Was standing in line waiting for the cashier to pay attention (looking at her phone) while I decided what to get. Then a boisterous group of church-goers came in and just jumped the line. Cashier did/said nothing. Awful, awful, awful! ----- Food is great. Just let me say that first. But 4 out of the 5 times I've been there I had missing/wrong items from my order. I don't live close by and because of their set up I can't really check my order before leaving. So imagine the disappointment every time I got home and found missing items. I've since complained and a manager gave me some store credit as a form of apology which I appreciate. It sort of balances our every item I've been shorted. I'm leaving this review at 3 stars because no customer should have to call the store in advance every time to ensure their order is prepared correctly. The store needs better training for their staff. I'll update if my experience improves going forward.

i guess there is no perfect business. there is good day and bad day. im not regular here and i came from north Vancouver and i always think whats im gonna order. there's 5 person lined up there and i feel they're not use to it or what is that i saw. can tell their movement and mood. tall guy serve me but he looks like in a hurry. i rate him 1star. after i paid thats it. they got the money anyway. i forgot the reciept that is usually ask. so i came ask it. the girl serve me and ask around *who serve him(me)* then i waited. tall guy serve me again i also order sauce for buns which can take 1 minute but i still waited. we both there doing nothing hes not ringing my order while i wait the pad to show that its ready to accept my card. i swear if its weekdays the customer service is good but if its weekends its bad. is it because of no owner or manager working in the weekend? food is definitely 5 star. i always buy between 70$ to 100$. i dont know guys it feels like its hard to eat the food with a bad experience. reciept picture included. thank you

I have tried this recently opened bakery for a while now. Here is my feedback, the steamed buns are okay, but not as good as the one from New Town bakery. Other baked goods available are tasty and bigger in sizes compared to the other available sources. This has to explain the price difference which is a little more in this bakery. I like their fried sesame ball, that one is for the books. The frozen steamed buns are always on sale and tried all of them at home. Not as good as the fresh ones from the bakery though, but will do fine to feed our cravings for Asian snack at home. The service is always good from my experience and I appreciate the friendliness of the mostly young staff. This bakery is a welcome alternative to the ever present pizza place around the Joyce Skytrain station. The eating place is modern which is quite unusual for an Asian-based bakeshop. Truly uniquely pleasant experience for me. Try this place for a quick bite on your way home commute to the suburbs. My son usually asks for me to bring home his favorite-hot dog baked bun. He could finish a half dozen of this in one seating...Thanks for opening this bakery. It gives me an excuse to drop by Joyce Station when taking...
