Title: Happy Lemon Review: A Great Spot for Matcha Lovers in Vancouver
Happy Lemon is a cool little cafe in Vancouver that's been around since 2006. It's got a Chinese vibe and is famous for its drinks, especially the Mango Matcha Latte Smoothie with Pearls.
The Place: It's a nice spot with seating for about 10 people. It feels cozy and friendly, perfect for hanging out with friends or just chilling by yourself. The Chinese decorations are pretty neat and make the place look unique.
The Drink: Now, let's talk about their Mango Matcha Latte Smoothie with Pearls. It's amazing! If you like matcha, you're going to love this. The matcha and mango mix together really well, giving you a sweet and slightly bitter taste that's just right. The pearls in the drink are fun to chew and make the smoothie even better.
What It's Like: The smoothie is creamy and goes down smooth. It's not too sweet, which is good because you can still taste the matcha. It's a great drink for anyone who's into matcha or wants to try something new.
Why It's Special: One of the best things about Happy Lemon is how they bring a bit of Chinese culture into their cafe. It's not just about the drinks; it's also about experiencing something different and cool.
Final Thoughts: Overall, Happy Lemon is a great place to check out, especially if you're a fan of matcha. The Mango Matcha Latte Smoothie with Pearls is a must-try. It's a fun place to hang out, and the drink is something special. Definitely...
Read moreReally wanted bubble tea downtown and decided to give this place a shot because it was the closest. When I walked in the cashier was confused and timid. I ordered a large roasted milk tea with taro balls (the topping was $1!! so excessive), no ice, slight sugar. The total came to $6.30. While I observed her make it, I saw she filled the cup 2/3 of they way up, then proceeded to fill the rest of the cup up with WATER and pre-made tea from a pitcher. How can you guys claim it’s your goal to make fresh tea when it PRE-MADE, come on now! She also put around HALF the amount of topping (which cost $1) as other shops, around a 2cm up the side of the cup. At last, when I went in to take a sip it tasted exactly like tap water. To make matters worse the taro balls were hard, like pearls when you put them in the fridge overnight. Lots of room for improvement, if this place is your only option you’re better off not having any...
Read moreI recently visited Happy Lemon and ordered their Fresh Lychee Iced Green Tea, and it was a refreshing delight! The green tea had a clean, crisp base, which paired beautifully with the natural sweetness of the lychee. It wasn’t overly sugary, just the right balance of flavors, making it incredibly refreshing on a warm day. The lychee chunks were a nice touch—sweet, juicy, and a great texture contrast to the tea. What really stood out to me, though, was the perfect ice-to-liquid ratio. The drink stayed cool without being overly watered down as the ice melted, which can be a problem at some other spots. The staff was friendly and quick, and I appreciated how fresh everything tasted. If you’re a fan of fruity, lightly sweet drinks, the Fresh Lychee Iced Green Tea at Happy Lemon is a must-try! I’ll definitely be back to explore more...
