That was possibly the worst massage I've ever had, and I've had a bunch, from 5 star hotel massages to airport massages.
Booked 90 minutes, she only did 60 minutes and came in after I started getting dressed and asked if she could continue, but it had been pretty awful up til that point anyhow so I was happy to not pay for the extra 30 minutes.
I've had a few styles of massage before, but hers was "jam her finger directly into spots on your body". I've had massages where the masseuse was clearly trying to work a muscle, or that lateral movement to get under a muscle, but this was literally just direct pressure. A few times she got bone instead of muscle, and have you had someone jam a thumb directly into the soft part behind your knee? I have now. Extremely unpleasant.
My left shoulder hurts when it didn't before. Not after-massage sore but feels like after a minor sports injury hurt. The beginning of the massage was under the blanket, which was hospital grade cotton: extremely rough. Against my body hair it just pulled a lot and felt like rugburn.
To top it off, the facility was not great. The rooms were facades. Curtains instead of walls behind them so you can hear everything in the entire place. I heard the woman next door get walked in on despite telling her masseuse she wasn't ready. I heard the foot reflexology area just slapping like mad. I heard everyone in the break room. And it was cold in there to boot.
Would not recommend this place at all. I don't understand how it has such...
Read moreHonestly I was surprised from beginning to the end. They didnât ask me a single question except if they can switch the order for both massages session; body foot. I thought they ask me the pressure I prefer, which area of body massage I want them to focus.
Worst part is when you have the staff who doesnât understand any English AT ALL. I got body massage from (I believe) Chinese lady who doesnât understand English at all. Only she said to me was âvery tightâ, âfinishâ, âtea? Water?â. I told her too much pressure and she didnât change. My body feels so stressed after all. She was really really focusing on massaging my hip area and I started feeling really uncomfortable because of her lack of gentle skills. She through the oil bottle on my legs⌠I asked her to stop massaging hip area but she keeps saying âI donât understand Englishâ⌠what the⌠really? You are working at massage store you donât know the word of body parts?! And she start massaging my face, which not listed on the menu? No thank you you just touch my foot with that hands⌠she kept going. Unbelievably worst experience! Straight to shower at home after.
And in the end I was changing and two staffs came in even I said âIâm changingâ. Iâm so speechless and absolutely no privacy. Learn more manner as massage staff please.
There is no relaxing time here, the noise that staffs are chatting at backyard. I think something needs to be fixed if you are opening 4th...
Read moreI spent $165.90 to learn that this is a place I should never go back to. I got a body massage and a foot massage, but I wouldn't even call it a massage. She just applied oil for the entire hourâgently and very slowly, like applying oil to a newborn baby. I didnât even expect her to find any pressure points. She didnât press; she just applied oil. I kept wondering if I had mistakenly come to a skincare shop. This isn't the type of massage I know. I kept waiting, hoping maybe there was more to come, but she just applied the oil even slower. When she massaged my scalp with her fingertips, the pressure was as light as typing on a keyboard.
Are you kidding me? I wanted to quit several times in the middle because I felt like my time was being wasted.
If you donât like your job, find another one. Donât steal money and time from people who are in pain!
Just because a customer doesnât speak English well and says nothing doesnât mean you can do whatever and simply pass the time. I went to relieve my bodyâs fatigue with money I earned through hard work. I didnât come to pay you to pass the time.
And the shop owner should hire people carefully. Is this person even properly trained? Iâve never experienced a massage like this before. Thank you for calling afterward to check what went wrong. At least the polite staff member wasnât at fault. But itâs the ownerâs fault for hiring someone so...
