I had a pleasant overall experience! The food was decent. The grilled cheese sandwich was made of sourdough, which I wasn't particularly fond of. Although my distaste for sourdough bread may only be a personal preference as others enjoy it, I could only finish half my sandwich. On the upside, my iced matcha latte was great as it had a rich and earthy flavour. However, I wish I had been informed that it didn’t come with sweetener upfront—I had to add a packet of sugar afterward.
The service was exceptional. The cashiers were both friendly and attentive. I stood a little too close to the register after I had finished paying, and a staff member was kind enough to double-check if I had been served yet, which I really appreciated.
The atmosphere was incredibly captivating. I enjoyed the interior design, especially with it being a two-story café. The space was spotless, and I noticed staff promptly wiping down tables nearby. The only small downside was that the music was a bit too loud.
Overall, it’s a good spot to stop by, especially for the service...
Read moreCame for a morning coffee on a holiday so it wasn't too busy. Nice interior inside a heritage building! There's seating upstairs as well as downstairs, which is nice. Had their vegan Maple Glazed Cranberry Scone. It was a good scone (cranberries were tart), although I wish it had a crispier exterior. It could have used the toaster oven with the maple glaze. I wasn't asked when ordering if it was for dine in or take out, so ended up eating at a table out of a paper bag and drinking out of a to-go cup! They have self-serve oat milk and almond milk, which was appreciated.
At 8:30 am, their items in the display case were scarce. However, a delivery 10 minutes or so later restocked many of their baked goods (including seasonal donuts) and wraps. Bonus mention of their playlist that morning, which was a mix of pop rock music that was nostalgic for me! It was put together by one of their baristas, I was told. Friendly service....

The espresso is extremely good and if you get anything like an Americano it is also fine. Their croissants and cookies are amazing as well.
BUT, their other beverages are very strange tasting. For example the vanilla latte feels burnt, the misto tastes kind of like an oily syrup, and the London fogs are kinda pasty.
The atmosphere is not ideal for sitting any period of time as it is loud, not particularly aesthetically decorated, and there are tons of people going in and out.
Barristas are nice enough but sometimes orders are messed up when it's really busy. They handle do it well though.
I definitely wouldn't come here dressed in casual clothes. Or...
