I had a pleasant overall experience! The food was decent. The grilled cheese sandwich was made of sourdough, which I wasn't particularly fond of. Although my distaste for sourdough bread may only be a personal preference as others enjoy it, I could only finish half my sandwich. On the upside, my iced matcha latte was great as it had a rich and earthy flavour. However, I wish I had been informed that it didn’t come with sweetener upfront—I had to add a packet of sugar afterward.

The service was exceptional. The cashiers were both friendly and attentive. I stood a little too close to the register after I had finished paying, and a staff member was kind enough to double-check if I had been served yet, which I really appreciated.

The atmosphere was incredibly captivating. I enjoyed the interior design, especially with it being a two-story café. The space was spotless, and I noticed staff promptly wiping down tables nearby. The only small downside was that the music was a bit too loud.

Overall, it’s a good spot to stop by, especially for the service...

Came for a morning coffee on a holiday so it wasn't too busy. Nice interior inside a heritage building! There's seating upstairs as well as downstairs, which is nice. Had their vegan Maple Glazed Cranberry Scone. It was a good scone (cranberries were tart), although I wish it had a crispier exterior. It could have used the toaster oven with the maple glaze. I wasn't asked when ordering if it was for dine in or take out, so ended up eating at a table out of a paper bag and drinking out of a to-go cup! They have self-serve oat milk and almond milk, which was appreciated.

At 8:30 am, their items in the display case were scarce. However, a delivery 10 minutes or so later restocked many of their baked goods (including seasonal donuts) and wraps. Bonus mention of their playlist that morning, which was a mix of pop rock music that was nostalgic for me! It was put together by one of their baristas, I was told. Friendly service....

This is a good enough place to go if you work nearby and are picking something up but otherwise I would avoid it.

The espresso is extremely good and if you get anything like an Americano it is also fine. Their croissants and cookies are amazing as well.

BUT, their other beverages are very strange tasting. For example the vanilla latte feels burnt, the misto tastes kind of like an oily syrup, and the London fogs are kinda pasty.

The atmosphere is not ideal for sitting any period of time as it is loud, not particularly aesthetically decorated, and there are tons of people going in and out.

Barristas are nice enough but sometimes orders are messed up when it's really busy. They handle do it well though.

I definitely wouldn't come here dressed in casual clothes. Or...

Visiting Vancouver for the first time from Toronto and wanted to try out some good coffee place. As I was staying in Hyatt I found JJ Bean close to the location while walking down to the Canada Place. I must say I had the best latte I’ve had in the longest time at JJ Bean! The barista (I forgot to catch her name) crafted it to perfection. The balance of espresso and milk was spot on, and the foam was silky smooth. You can really taste the quality and care put into every cup. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a top-notch coffee experience.

Delicious coffee (dark and lighter roasts) and helpful baristas. There are slight discounts for drinking your coffee in the cafe (as opposed to taking it to go) and they offer a free small coffee or discounted coffee drink with the purchase of a 12 oz. bag of beans, of which they have a small but varied selection. They have a small sign up indicating which beans they are using for their various drinks (brewed, espresso, and single origin). Reasonably priced coffee beans, drinks, and some pastries. I recommend this place.
