Don't sleep on this gem. Great food, but for us it's incredible hospitality that we'll remember. I'll cut to the chase for people that want to know if it's good. For $88 their prix fixe is a deal! Definitely doing some creative work with the Korean inspired charcuterie (but man wish there was some gochujang) and nori pesto. The Mandu was solid, but the show stopper was the galbi. They sous-vide it for 48 hours(!) making galbi taste like wagyu was their goal and they definitely succeeded. Definitely worth coming back for. They say when it comes to fine dining you don't remember the food, you remember how they make you feel. (It's true, I don't remember half those Michelin star meals) We really wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday and do something special and I'm so glad we chose Ju! It's not easy doing fine dining with a group of 13 but they made it work and were so generous with their time. It's little things like the chef pulling out a ragu for the kids that was off menu or the manager taking the time to greet the grandparents (totally made them feel more relaxed) meant a lot to me and we knew we were in good hands. Really curious to see where this place goes.

We ordered four tasting menus—two with galbi (+$15) and two with regular chicken. The appetizers were good, and the pyun-yuk was amazing, but the chicken, supposedly the main protein, was a letdown. It had no connection to Korean cuisine; it felt more like eating yellow curry from a Thai restaurant. The galbi, on the other hand, was outstanding—the best meat I’ve had in 2024. It was well worth the extra cost, as it was cooked sous vide for over 48 hours. Service was a disappointment. The server didn’t know how to properly pour drinks, which was frustrating. To make matters worse, a fly hovered over our table the entire time, casting a shadow on the table from the light above us. The atmosphere was clean but uninspiring—plain white walls with nothing special to mention. Overall, it was a decent experience for $88 per person. A few adjustments could make a big difference: improving how drinks are served and perhaps rethinking the chicken recipe (gochujang butter, perhaps?) to give it a more authentic Korean flavor.

I recently visited this restaurant, which offers contemporary Asian-inspired cuisine. While the food itself was beautifully presented, the overall experience left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our waiter was unprofessional, offering no explanations about the dishes and simply leaving the menu on the table, expecting us to figure it out. To make matters worse, when we asked about dessert, we received incorrect information. The ambiance also fell short. The ventilation system was excessively loud, making it difficult to enjoy the environment or hold a conversation comfortably. Overall, while the food presentation was impressive, there is a lot of room for improvement in both service and atmosphere. I hope the management takes these aspects into consideration to enhance the dining experience.

I am giving Ju 5 stars across the board for food, service, and atmosphere.

Starting with atmosphere, it is elegant and modern.

Service was impeccable. I have read other comments about service but my experience was perfect. The server was attentive and friendly. Also provided explanations of each dish that was presented. Had a chance to meet the chef who was super gracious.

Now the most important part...the food. I had the tasting menu that was $88 for 8 courses. Everything was presented beautifully and executed perfectly. The highlights from the tasting menu included the cured salmon which had an amazing citrus sauce, the bulgogi sandwich (a play on the HongKong style shrimp sandwich)which was crispy and meaty, the sable fish which was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a rich miso sauce, and the most amazing item was the beef galbi which balanced sweet and savoury and the absolute most tender highly marbled beef.

Conclusion: I was very impressed with the overall dining experience but left puzzled why this place wasn't busier. An 8-course menu for $88 seems like a bargain. I can only assume it's not well known enough but I would highly encourage a try. This is a bit of a special occasion type place so I won't be going weekly but will definitely go...
