This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited! If you're reading this, DO NOT visit it! If you have excess money, just donate it instead! I visited this restaurant at 2 AM on February 14th. I was hungry in the middle of the night, and was planning to go to a nearby McDonald's when I saw the sign for a pho restaurant and decided to give it a try. This was my biggest mistake. I love pho and often go out of my way to find good places to eat, and there are great spots in downtown too, but late-night restaurants are limited. I ordered a large pho for $18 and was shocked when I saw it. The bean sprouts were all dried up, the lime was discolored, there were four pieces of smelly beef, and the noodles were so scarce that after 2-3 bites, they were gone. I doubted my own eyes and asked the owner, "Is this the large size?" and he confirmed it was. The taste was extremely salty, and they didn’t even provide basil at first. When I asked for it, I was given some. For $18, I could easily have had a decent meal at another nearby restaurant, which is the average price for pho. The ingredients were insufficient for the price, and the taste was terrible. When I told the owner on my way out that they should reflect on their quality, he said he would speak with the kitchen. It seems he confused his role with the chef's. The price is way too high for the quality of food. If you're going to take advantage of the fact that you're open late, at least maintain some basic standards and integrity in your service! Why do you think there are no customers? Why do people criticize you? Open your eyes and ears! Just because you’re open late, does that mean the quality changes between day and night, or is this your regular standard? This is absurd and infuriating. I will NEVER visit again!

Restaurant has a stale/sour/pungent smell once you walk in. It hits you the moment you open the door, like it’s not been aired out for an long period of time and the smells have decided that they’re going to haunt the restaurant. Food: Meh. I ordered a large steak and brisket pho ($13++) and when it arrived, presentation was underwhelming. Meat pieces sliced very thin and lumped together. Probably sliced, frozen, thawed and then put into the bowl. Pho noodle quality was bad, I’ve had bad pho noodles but this lacked any “tangy” and “chewiness”. It tasted very cheap. Broth was lacking in flavour, light, and lacking that dense spice flavour. It tasted like extremely watered down broth that has been reboiled and water added every hour or so. Sprouts were so-so, the lemon probably was frozen/chilled before being served as it broke apart the moment i exerted any form of pressure to squeeze it. Service: Nothing to rave about. Came in, was seated, wasn’t offered any drinks. Food came and that’s all. Nobody else stopped by to ask if drinks were needed. Location: Prime location. Easily accessible. Price: Not going to lie. The price here are one of the more reasonably priced restaurants. It looks like they’ve also not increased the prices in a while other than the plastic charge. Pho prices range from CAD12-13.50, and Subs are about CAD7-8. Would I recommend? Probably(?) if you are planning to get a quick bite in and out, no fuss, no frills. You get what you pay for in terms of food and service quality.

First time trying Pho, a traditional Vietnamese dish, and I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The Pho was delicious and cooked to perfection, with the right balance of flavors and spices. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked just right. The restaurant itself was simple but had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was simple and unassuming, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they made sure that we were comfortable throughout our meal. However, I have to mention that I'm not a huge fan of coriander, and there was a lot of it in the Pho dish. If you're like me and don't enjoy coriander, you may want to ask for a dish with less of it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a good bowl of Pho. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a casual dining experience. If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, you should definitely check this place out.

As of 20/3/2020 they are open for takeout orders only during the pandemic.

My pho was hot and fresh, I liked how they provided a bowl large enough to for everything and obviously separated the broth until I wanted to add it. The broth was also flavourful and not salty with a nice balance. If you eat meat the rare beef pho is here is five star.

The salad roll was $3 and good too with some tasty peanut sauce. Restaurants that think they can charge $8 for two salad rolls are nuts so it’s refreshing to see one can be purchased for $3 at this time.

To the manager/owner: It appears your competitors up robson have shuttered for the pandemic. I see your website is currently down (as you were likely ripped off by yellow pages). Right now is your opportunity to make up for lost ground to your competitors by improving your online presence:

-Take control of your google business listing -Keep your hours and closure updated! -Reply to your customer reviews -Use the posting feature to keep your customers notified and engaged in your specials and news!!

As a business owner you can do this all for free, some choose to pay for this service but it can be easily done with a smartphone app (which if you can’t figure out one of your servers can). Everything is going online now, so stay ahead of your competitors this way!

If you want a visible website at much lower rates that yellowpages charges, please respond to this review with your name and contact number, do it at my time down the road and I’ll immediately be notified of the reply,...
