If you're reading this review it's probably because you've been there and went what just happened? Honestly who reads google reviews for McDonalds. Do not go here, turn around and go anywhere else! I popped in a few times a week usually in the morning sometimes after work as I live a block away. My order is usually wrong or incorrect 60% of the time and that is not an exaggeration, to a point that I take my order open it up and check everything before I leave. Workers simply do not care or even pretend that they do. When I went in last week after work I was the only one left waiting for an order and the manager told me it would be another 5 minutes (it had already been 10) for a double cheeseburger and a chicken wrap. After waiting 20 minutes he handed me my order and said "What do you expect when we're closing" this was 11 at night when they were closing at 1. And then turned around and started to laugh. Dude, just pretend for five minutes not to be a jerk. I am severely lactose intolerant and for the fourth time I watched them put cream in my oat milk cold brew and then pretend to top it up with an empty oat milk. When I called her out I was told that I had to specify no cream even though I had specified oat milk and then laughed as she went into the back to get a fresh oat milk and remake it. And the place is constantly filthy - trash on the floor, unwiped tables covered in food. Ordering kiosks that are never wiped down and smeared with god knows what. I admit fast food is cheap, but seriously it's not that cheap anymore - go anywhere...

I went to the McDonald’s on West 4th Ave in Vancouver and asked for a refill. The manager, an older Filipino lady, pulled out the small hard plastic “refill cup” they keep behind the counter — a leftover COVID protocol that other McDonald’s locations no longer use. As she picked it up, a fly literally flew out of it. I asked her to rinse it, but she refused and poured my refill anyway. When I declined and asked again for a proper rinse, she snapped, “I’m not giving you a refill.” She then took the same cup into the kitchen and came back wiping the inside with a dirty rag before trying to use it again.

She also claimed McDonald’s “doesn’t do refills anymore,” which is false. Every other McDonald’s I’ve been to still allows customers to refill their own drinks directly from the machine, without any sketchy “refill cups.” There is nothing hygienic about a fly crawling in and out of a hard plastic cup that gets reused over and over.

On top of that, the ketchup here is watered down compared to every other McDonald’s. When I asked about it, she nervously dodged the question instead of addressing it.

This location feels unsanitary, dishonest, and poorly managed. Between the fly, the dirty rag, the watered-down ketchup, and the manager outright refusing a refill, I will not be back. This place needs...

I came in at 11:20 pm to order and have a meal. I received my order at 11:30 pm. When I sat down, the manager with the tattoo around his arm complained loudly and passive-aggressively to another staff member that they’re closing and I should not have sat down to eat, as he gave me a good dose of side eye. I responded to him, letting him know that I heard him and that it won’t take 30 minutes to eat. He then whined, saying “I already cleaned that table, now I have to clean it again”, while giving me another crappy look. Um, excuse me? This is a small location with 6 tables. Whining and attempting to guilt-trip an unsuspecting customer who has every right to sit and eat while the business is open - well before closing time - is unprofessional and rude. It’s even more ridiculous that this was the manager. I brought up the issue with him about how he reacted on my way out and I got a solid 5 minutes worth of excuses and barely an apology. All the effort he put into defending his actions was a lot more than it would have taken to simply give the table a last quick spritz and a wipe. I was out of there 15 minutes before closing. So unnecessary. I never thought I would ever be compelled to leave a review...

Sometimes we come to this McDonald’s location if we are in the Kits area. This location is relatively small, perhaps because there is no drive through. It is pretty neat that they have some old photos of the neighborhood. The main problem is there is no free parking nearby. We always pay for parking on the street right at the front, and have our meal quickly.

The service and food are the same as you would get in every good McDonalds restaurant but the atmosphere was hideous, it was a warm sunday but the heater was cranked up high and was a huge disappointment. But loved the ice cream as they actually gave a real good scoop.
