I work just upstairs from this place so I frequently run down to see if there is a line. I was super pumped to see there was not a line and to finally get to see what the hype was about.

Well, I really enjoyed the waffle cone, honey comb and cereal bits, it was so delicious! The ice cream it self was, meh. I ended up scooping it out and just eating the cone & toppings. And I LOVE ice cream, so much that I bring freezer bags with me when I'm shopping across the border. Wasted $7.88 and didn't get my extra topping of condensed milk which I paid for. Also one of the servers was rude. Apparently I didn't get to the counter fast enough to claim my comb. A couple in front of me took it by mistake. I was offered a cup that was being prepared. My response, "Hi, I think this couple here took my cone by mistake" Couple: We are sorry. Server: Well you should have come when I called. Me: Well, I was standing behind the couple, they already grabbed it so.... Server: Well, this is the same thing, but in a cup. Do you want this one? Me: I really wanted a waffle cone...with the condensed milk. That's what I ordered. Couple apologizes again.

I claim my comb and walk out, didn't bother to ask if it had the condensed milk which I paid for. So prepare to be underwhelmed and don't bother waiting in...

Stopped in for a treat after dinner tonight. Not impressed. I ordered a regular cone with honeycomb. My partner ordered ‘snow berry’. Mine was prepared as a cup rather than a cone. When it was handed to me I said that I ordered a cone not a cup to which I was met with a blank stare and then she handed me an empty cone! 😳 I handed it back along with the cup and said forget it. A guy that just walked in was observing what just happened. He said he knew the owner well and this wouldn’t happen if the owner was around. He mentioned to the servers that that wasn’t good customer service and suggested they remake it. They stood there stunned while he asked 3 more times. They eventually remade it. $7 later ($15 for both) and honestly the only thing interesting was the honeycomb. My partner’s was just soft serve with a few strawberries on top. The ice cream was not indistinguishable from Dairy Queen which is must cheaper. This place has resorted to catering to cruise ship tourists since a local will never return. If you want to treat yourself to delicious ice cream try Bella Gelatetia in Coal Harbour. Bella is worth the wait! Give Soft Peaks...

Finally trying soft peaks after seeing it all over my Instagram feed, and I’m so happy to report that it absolutely lived up to the hype I have built up in my head over the years and then some 🥲🥲💛

First of all, the service:, it was a busy Friday night in Gastown and the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival is on. They managed to be so patient and kind throughout the entire process, and though the ordering process can be kind of confusing (you pick the topping/ flavor, then the soft serve itself/ base), they still walked us through it despite the business.

The soft serve is quite unlike any ice cream we’ve tried before, you can taste its creaminess and freshness from the first bite to the end. I think what really blew us away is the little nugget of treasure they put at the bottom (if you know, you know 😉). So often, when you get to the bottom of the cone, it just feels empty without any traces of ice cream left, so I so appreciate the extra mile they go to make the whole experience just that much extra special 💛

The Gastown flavour is to die for. I can’t wait to come back to try...

Finally an ice cream with less sugar made with organic milk! I liked the taste of the ice cream because it wasn't oversweetened. They have different flavored syrup and they add it to the ice cream which makes it even tastier.

I saw this place on Instagram so I had bookmarked it for our trip to Vancouver. We stopped in on a Monday at around 2 PM. It's very easy to miss because the sign is very subtle, and the storefront looks like it's closed. It's on the edge of Gastown, so it's still fine but if you walk a block or two further than this, it starts getting a bit shady. I originally wanted to try the honeycomb peak but read mixed opinions on whether or not you should eat honeycomb while pregnant. So instead, I opted for the Brown Sugar Pearls (brown sugar drizzle with tapioca pearls) and hubby had Gastown (homemade tiramisu toppings). Mine was good but nothing amazing, and nothing I couldn't find somewhere else. Hubby's was too sweet for my taste. The annoying thing was that there were little flies everywhere. One took the first bite of my ice cream before I even got the chance to. Maybe we didn't get the right flavors but I would say this spot isn't worth going out of your way for. Luckily, we were already in Gastown.
