We come here very often for drive thru and just this morning we had a little incident, the girl who was working at the drive thru about 9am handed over us 2 drinks and said “alright have a nice day” when we specifically order way more than that…. We almost drove off without our other orders and I just find it ridiculous how communication is bad there. I kept repeating to the girl I’d like a drink tray and she kept saying “huh” I’ve literally repeated myself 3 times. And to top it off I had a big order with 3 drinks and a bag full of food and snacks and she bluntly asked me what else I ordered when the stuff I ordered with my name on it should be right there ready for us without any complication, first off I’ve ordered 11 items and she just handed us the 2 items and told us “bye” like excuse me? I mean for pick up orders you see how many items the person has ordered and it’s all numbered down. She made it so difficult and we ONLY ordered through the mobile app to make it easier I’ve never had any other issues with any Starbucks until this location. Like what was so complicated about that. I wanted to talk to the manager as well so I could inform them on the issue so that they know better for next time because she was gonna let us drive off knowing damn well I spent $50 and only got 2 drinks?????? But when I called, this guy who apparently is the “supervisor” I asked when the manager would be in so I can speak with them he told me tomorrow and then we he double checked to make sure he bluntly told me “ops I lied haha, he’s gonna be in Friday” like wait sorry what? That is so unprofessional to speak to a customer in that way let alone that experience was just wow,...
Read moreChanged my 5 star review to a 1 star because of my terrible experience with the drive thru today. My office is just west of this Starbucks, I drive along Evans Avenue.
Drivers coming from Terminal turning left on Begg into the Starbucks would not let me merge into the drive thru yelling at me to instead drive to the back of the line along Terminal Avenue by the bridge. I was making a right hand turn on Begg into the drive thru and I couldn’t because cars cut me off and leaned on their horns! It’s like the Wild West.
Starbucks should post a traffic sign telling drivers from each direction to merge into drive thru. There is no left hand turn rule, first come first served. This incident could have easily escalated to road rage, just over a coffee. Everyone had their cellphones out recording what was going to happen next.
Note: Staff have been aware of this issue for a while now but have done nothing. Staff point the finger at the city because the street is not their property. I give the ignorant drivers a thumbs down and Starbucks one star for letting this go on for so...
Read moreExtremely Disrespectful and Discriminatory Behavior at Starbucks – July 3rd, 4:45 PM
I had a very disturbing experience at this Starbucks location on July 3rd around 4:45 PM. As soon as I entered and politely asked the staff member where the washroom was, he immediately responded with, “You have to make a purchase to use the washroom.” I was about to comply, but then he suddenly insisted I had to purchase before using the washroom, in a very rude and dismissive tone.
The way he treated me felt extremely discriminatory, as if I was being profiled or assumed to be homeless just for asking to use a basic facility. There was absolutely no courtesy or respect — just judgment and attitude. I’ve been a Starbucks customer for years, and I’ve never felt so humiliated inside one of your stores.
This is unacceptable. No customer should ever be made to feel unwelcome, disrespected, or stereotyped. I hope Starbucks takes this matter seriously and provides proper training to ensure this kind of behavior never happens again. Discrimination — in any form — has no place in...
