I used to love Juice Truck, but I have been noticing a lot of changes and I don't think any of them are for the better.
They got rid of their neighborhood discounts and loyalty cards, I have an 'account' but this doesn't seem to have a loyalty system (or if it does, it's nothing compared to the previous one).
The spring rolls are now in a bowl, (which I am guessing is because rice paper rolls don't have a long shelf life) but now they taste like this weird mush in a bowl, and it is not appetizing at all - which is frustrating as it has removed the cheaper healthy option. The daily specials are not as good as they used to be, they used to be served in the large containers, but now are always in the small one, and the ratio is off, it's mostly all just rice/pasta/cheap filler ingredients, and very little of the stew/curry/sauce. They also use a lot of kirkland branded ingredients - not exactly the organic experience I was thinking I was getting.
My favorite thing on the menu was the Mac n Cheeze. I brought it after awhile of not having had it. It was not good. Hardly any sauce, barely any of the coconut bacon (honestly, a 1/4 teaspoon, if that) the pasta was undercooked and stuck together, and there was hardly enough sauce to make up for it. I was really disappointed, and threw it out after a mere few bites.
I keep trying, but think it's time to give up on Juice Truck, because "now it's just somebody that I...
Read moreAs always, my reviews are based on personal experiences and interactions. For the first time, I have a few words to share about a place. I stumbled upon this health bar by chance while taking a walk and was drawn in by a beautiful picture of a smoothie. I decided to give it a try, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it tasted. The ingredients were natural and healthy.
The service was exceptional, as I always emphasize. The staff were lovely and had great personalities, showing genuine care in what they made for their customers. I will definitely stop by again during my next visit...
Read moreNot impressed with this place. They market themselves as a heathy restaurant, but all of the food options contain canola oil, mayo, or seed oils. This is known to be harmful to human health. The ingredients in the food items are also not listed on any menus, you have to ask them to take the items out of the fridge so that you can read the labels.. so it seems like they are trying to conceal the fact that the food is not at all healthy. All of the snacks and popcorn contain seed oils as well, none of it is good for you. You can go there for a glass of juice, but I wouldn’t eat anything...
