Since this café opened, we’ve been visiting very often with our dog to enjoy their coffee and pastries.Initially, the first three staff members we encountered were incredibly friendly and patient, answering all our questions with care. However, over time, the staff changed, and the experience started to decline. One day, I asked one of the new employees about their rewards program and how points accumulate. Her response was shocking—she said it was a company system, and she didn’t know the details. When I expressed surprise, mentioning that as an employee, she should be familiar with it, she replied, “If you have any questions, you can call the company directly.” Her dismissive attitude took me by surprise, and it didn’t end there. On subsequent visits, she greeted us with an unfriendly demeanor, which completely ruined the experience for me. It’s disappointing because I had initially given this café a glowing 5-star review and recommended it to many friends. However, due to this staff member’s poor attitude, I’ve decided to lower my rating .

Wow! Just so much goodness here. A bright, kind, inclusive coffee/treat lounge. The employees here are so happy and kind. The drinks are perfectly balanced and served in ceramic, if you have time to enjoy them in house. They have a puppuccino on the menu and dogs are welcome. Seating is arranged in several cozy areas between a couch/living room corner, a communal table and many bistro sets for more intimate conversations for 2. I only tried the Lemon Loaf from the generous bakery offerings (half of which were vegan, including the luscious lemon loaf) but I can't imagine going back for anything else. A level up experience with little pops of flavor throughout that may be due to finely shredded coconut or possibly millet? Unsure but it was really really a flavor/texture surprise that paired so perfectly with a delicately spiced oat chai. A 5 star experience on every level.

Wow, I'm glad that I stumbled on this place. It's just lovely. The lighting is gentle, with a palette of muted colours throughout. Very easy on the eyes. And easy to relax into. Staff were all friendly and patient, easy to talk with. Washrooms were clean. I like the retail offerings, well made and nicely presented. The matcha latte was deliciously smooth and the cookie was good. When I was there, only half the baked goods section has food, the other half was empty. I would love to see more options. Will definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Been here several times since I live in the neighborhood. Overall solid place, great customer service, and excellent coffee. Love, LOVE, their matcha lattes and their lemon matcha in the summer was to DIE for!

Today was a bad experience. Came in the afternoon, pretty long line, one cafe attendant. I'm not angry at the coffee or the food or the wait time. It was a bad experience because there were THREE other workers chatting with each other and even when they looked over at us and saw the line NONE OF THEM came to help her! I was so angry on behalf of the attendant.

I work F&B as a server and let me tell you kudos to her because even with all the people and no assistance she was really kind and attentive to each customer.

When the attendant finally called one of them to help her, the three workers looked visibly annoyed that she seemed to be interrupting their chat and the person who came to help looked really unhappy.

I love the drinks here and I love how bubbly the cafe attendant is every time I come in but if this is how Fable's work culture is despite paying their staff a living wage, I don't know if I want come back. If I could tip the worker I really would have because she deserves so...

In a sea of online order forms, Amazon returns, indifference and artificial importance… occasionally, a business takes a step forward and says “we can do better”. They do. The new Fable coffee shop/boutique is beautifully decorated, tastefully laid out, and emits a calmness and serenity not unlike a spa, library or wellness retreat.

My girlfriend got Mugs, and I liked them. She got me dishes… I really liked them… and she needed wine glasses, so I ordered her Fable’s version.

A slight issue with shipping time, delayed arrival for what was meant to be a birthday gift. Not a big deal, right?

Instead of the usual “f&$k you… it will get there when it gets there” we’ve grown to expect, I received a personal note from Jocelyn the manager. A sincere apology, an invitation down for a coffee, an updated ETA on the wine glasses and even a little something as a token of their appreciation for my patience.

These little gestures make an immense difference in our funny little world, and if I didn’t love Fable already, I sure do now.

Get down there, have an espresso and pick some pieces that are beautiful and curated by people who really are doing a...
