Went for my niece's 19th bday on sat night. As an old foggie (44 trust me clubbing made me feel old as dirt lol) I was quite intrigued by how clubs work now. I was a bartender for many years worked club scene in the 00s haven't clubbed in over 5 years and the last time I was out cash was still accepted. Much to our oldie's surprise cash is not king here. Luckily my hubby grabbed his debit card before we went out so fear not we got a drink but not his preferred beer (kokanee if you were wondering) to his chagrin he switched to vodka (although he was cursing the next few days about the hard bar hangover) and we went to the pool table...well no cash means can't get change. Go to change machine empty. Meh, people watch and dance. Fun ... dance with the girls first time in a club with my 19 and 21-year-old go back and forth finding the guys that had a table by the pool table longing for change 😭 they talked amongst themselves to don't fret they had an ok night too. Although it's been 20 years since my hubby had been in a club he couldn't believe the drink prices but ya understand why (I'm 25 yrs industry and have only been out since cVID) so he was terrified of his bank statement the next day but had fun 😂 (50 yr rock loving home drinker) this club had a lovely mixture of people of all ages. We felt geriatric but not alone. Watching my daughters do the bull riding and seeing who rode better was fun. Woodward girls put on a fun battle. 1 is a trained rider one is a rock climber 😝 both do well all in all for a night out it was entertaining and that's a win. Club was fun being in with my 1999-2021 club bestie dancing is the same ish since back then we just don't pop it as good as the youngsters anymore and I don't think I should drop it either I was supposed to be somewhat of a roll model 😂 so all in all for you to of kept me up past 2 am it was a solid 8/10 Would I club again. Meh doubt it but never say never. I do know my girls are safe there and made a ton of friends over the last 2 yrs that Alisha inherited turning 19 in June. Now their cousin Emily will be cowgirl up in you guys. Heaven help you for this trio giddy up! Thanks for being a place women feel safe. Super appreciate that. The atmosphere was very eclectic and that's probably what...
Read moreI've been here twice now, both on Fridays. It's the only "country" bar around Vancouver, but to clear things up; it's a night club that plays country music if that makes sense. They don't have much country dancing. It's very crowded on the dance floor at all times past 11, but it makes sense because there really isn't much standing room off the floor. They do play a really good mix of old, current, and remix country. They have a crowd line dance every so often ;up until about 1030, but it's usually the electric slide or their edited version of the wobble.
The line dance instructor is super nice and can both line dance and two step. He's the only one I've seen though. A couple of workers will join in before 10 to do actual line dances but not much crowd appeal it seems.
They move the tables on the floor in the back at about 10, so you'll want to sit against the booth wall tables if you don't want to be moved.
Fries were good but I haven't really had a good tasting cocktail at any point. They do good liquor pour though so if you're drinking for drunkness only you'll be satisfied .
They don't serve cocktails after a certain point, I believe 10 or 11pm. A few staff members are amazing but just as many other staff members have had a really...
Read moreA long overdue review - Went for my Bachelorette in August and the only reason I had fun was because of the music and the superfun bull riding and line dancing. The reason for the low stars is the extremely pretentious, rude and condescending bartender who claimed to be the manager of this place. I guess this place needs a training in customer service. Even though I loved the ambience, I don't think I'll go back because I am not dining, drinking or enjoy myself for free. I would rather be treated with dignity and respect when I am paying for a service. A big thumbs down!
Edit - Responding to the reply from management: I don't think I am willing to go on a personal email conversation with the management to correct my particular experience. I don't want you to make it up to me particularly, rather I am willing to visit you and be treated nicely by a trained and polite staff regardless of my past review. What this means is I am open to anonymously visit you and try a second time to see if my experience is different than the previous time. That particular night would not come back as it was special for me, but I appreciate the offer. Thanks for...
