Two Parrots Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Vancouver

I’m definitely not coming back. One of my friends were about to leave before the rest of our group so he paid for his bill, we made him stay longer and we tried to order another round of drinks, the server(tall guy with beard) refused to serve him again because he didn’t tip him. The service was really bad we had to keep waiting for him to come checking on us and waiting so we could order more drinks so my friend didn’t think he deserved the tips which as far as I know is a gratuity. Two of us are servers and the other one is a bartender and we always tip everywhere we go, we were gonna tip him despite the bad service but we all thought it was extremely rude when he said he wouldn’t serve him anymore because he wanted tips and my friend didn’t give him any. The bill was $23 and he gave us a shitty service. We used to go there almost every Thursdays for wings. They lost a big group. Not going anymore and I definitely don’t recommend that place! TERRIBLE SERVICE! The beer is warm and the wings are good depending on the day. Def the worst experience I had in Vancouver for the last 4 years. Sir, next time remember to treat your clients well so you deserve your tip!

The place is fine but the bar tender literally begs for tips (begs would be good word instead of using “taunting”) been there 2-3 times but last night was the worst experience. The bartender didn’t even bother to clean the area where me and my friend sat on the bar table even she noticed it. “I will not serve you next time if you don’t tip me next time” were her exact words I mean like I sat on the Bar table just so that you or your work mate doesn’t need to walk yourself out of the bar area. And you are aggressively asking for tips ? I also work in customer service but no one should literally ask for tip at least not at that point when you didn’t even do the minimum of things which you’re asked for. Never visiting again. She also verbally taunted another customer who just came in, she didn’t even let her speak and told her “you can got the place across the street it will serve you till 2am” This is not a way to talk to a customer. Worst experience.

Pathetic service and pathetic servers. Especially the one with glasses. We waited over 30 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. I asked two other servers, but they brushed me off saying it wasn’t their section and told us to wait.

The hostess was literally just sitting there, looking lost and almost sleeping. When I asked her to call a server to take our order, she didn’t even bother doing anything about it. When I finally asked the server with the glasses (who was assigned to our section), she rudely told me to wait because she was “busy with other orders.” Extremely unprofessional , manner less, low class behaviour. Clearly just working for tips, not to actually serve customers. I even had to get up from my seat to speak with staff because no one attended us. They are always short-staffed.
