Granvilles grit meets Morrissey wit!!! The Morrissey is a long-time part of the Granville Street scene, offering a fun and lively atmosphere. Located at 1227 Granville Street, it's a great place to go if you're looking for live music, good drinks, and a place to connect with people. What you'll find: * Atmosphere: You can expect a lively and energetic vibe with live music and DJs. It's a popular spot that's usually buzzing with activity, making it a fun place to be. * Drinks and Food: The Morrissey has a good selection of drinks and some tasty pub food. It's a solid choice for a night out with friends. * Hours: They have a happy hour and stay open late, which is perfect if you're looking for a late-night spot on Granville Street. The Morrissey is a great option for a fun and friendly night out on Granville Street! Meg and Erika are the best!!

Had an ok experience, we were guests of the hotel next door and they mentioned the perks of spending some cash next door, so we went to get drinks and some food. I got a Mojito and another drink both which had NOT so fresh mint leaves, and the drink hadn’t been muttled. The atmosphere was there but the music was so loud we were yelling across the table at one another. Our waitress didn’t seem to care to be there either, I had to find her to get seated and drinks. So after paying for the drinks we decided to leave. I read a few of the other reviews so I had checked the bill, to make sure there wasn’t anything weird, and it was all good, if your not from BC I can see how you would think there are extra charges, because alcohol has a 15% tax.

While visiting Vancouver , this spot was so conveniently close to the hotel where I was staying. The atmosphere feels gothic and dark in the best way and they were playing a 90’s alternative / rock playlist which was like a breath of fresh air. There is so much detail to notice and appreciate . The place was strangely quiet for a fully occupied bar seating. I ordered salt and pepper wings which were a little too salt and peppery, along with truffle fries that were perfection. My partner really enjoyed the Cajun chicken cheddar burger . He went back again to experience the night life and enjoyed the live music the place offered .

The server came and greeted us at our table of 3. There were fruit flies, I know it is inevitable this time of year where there are garnishes left out but it is still off putting... We ordered/received drinks and then waited to get her attention to order food which took about 15 mins even though there were only two other individuals in the restaurant.

We ordered off the specials menu which was 1/2 price wings and 1/2 price perogies. Perogies were regularly $13 so we expected to pay $6.50 to get the same portion as the advertisement is for half price NOT half portions. When the food came it was in a small appetizer size bowl with 7-8 perogies (full size is 13-15 as we asked the server after it arrived). The wings had the correct amount delivered on a regular size plate.

We asked why we got less and she said that she wasn't sure why they did that but we were only being charged $4.50 for the perogies so its actually a better deal. When the bill came we were charged $5.50 for each serving of perogies....

I was hungry, I'm pregnant and wanted a meal.... I would have appreciated being informed I would be getting a smaller portion as it was not delivered as advertised.

My husband ordered the mini crispy chicken burger off the happy hour menu for $6.. the bun was dry and flakey which you could see before he even touched it, he was unable to finish.

Overall we were not very happy with the service and we were very disappointed in the food/false advertising and will not...

Editing this because I’m happy to say this is a very caring business. I thought they were going to dismiss our issue and react with anger over a negative review, and I was wrong. It was handled by the owner in such an understanding way, and it really showed integrity. The place is really cool so I’m stoked we can return to enjoy it and be at a place we can trust. Thank you much for listening and problem solving with us, Jordan :D

I came with a group for my friends birthday and they did 5 things: Tell us they can’t split the bill, confuse us by showing us bills from other tables, use THREE different people to charge you, separated each person so no one could possibly pay together and add up their order, and then at the end doubled down and showed us only our table on the screen with added food “unpaid” on our tab. Our friend who paid first had to leave early, so they took advantage telling us she didn’t pay for her drink when she had. When our group all called to split our bill from what we paid, we all noticed we got charged extra. So yea, specially in these tough times, careful so you don’t get scammed. You’d think you’d feel safer from these schemes cause you’re in Canada but sadly no. I can only imagine the gaslighting response I’m going to get from...

Stayed in the hotel next door and was told we could eat breakfast there and receive 25% off. When we sat down nobody came to our table. We waited about 10-15 minutes and I went to the kitchen and found a cook. He said the server wasn’t there but would be back. Finally the only other table in there told us it was a small Buffett and she thought you just help yourself which we did. We had our food for about 10 minutes before we finally seen our server at which time we asked her for silverware because there was only 4 sets near the Buffett and there were 5 of us. We were never offered coffee or juice. Besides getting the silverware there was no interaction with the server. When we were done I had to go the kitchen to fine her to pay the bill. We were a little surprised that the bill was more then the full price of the food when we expected 25% off. She ran our card without giving us a copy of the bill so I asked her for one. We seen that a 16 dollar tip was added. I understand automatic gratuity is sometimes added but the server should have told us that or given me a copy of the bill before I had to ask. I am a manager at a restaurant / bar and I have to say I would have been appalled if one of my servers gave that kind of service to a customer. Very...
