Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Vancouver

Unfortunately 2 stars is being generous.

1. Ice Cap machine is always broken. It's like playing Ice Cap roulette every time you go. Could be working, could be broken. I actually make bets with my husband. It's turned into a fun game now.
2. High turnover of staff so they are always "in training". The employees are nice and often are ashamed when something goes wrong. You end up feeling bad for them.
3. If there is management, you wouldn't be able to tell. It's usually chaotic and disorganized.
4. Every Tim's I've been to is run by immigrants. This does not mean every Tim's is bad. Bad service has nothing to do with a language barrier, but more to do with good training. There are good Tim's and bad Tim's, but unfortunately this location is one of the bad.
5. I actually like Tim Horton's but this location will not survive until they improve training/service and fix the Ice Cap machine. Starbuck's was in this location and it didn't survive either. The owner better improve...

I've come in a few times recently and oh my goodness this location is terrible. Staff are completely and utterly undertrained. They don't know how to use the POS, get your order wrong consistently, add ingredients to sandwiches seemingly at random and don't quite have greeting customers down pat yet. Sandwiches from this location include ingredients that they don't normally, fall apart and come balled up in the wrapper instead of being folded into it. It would take a minute of effort to train staff to read the recipes and fold a sandwich into a paper wrapper but evidently such effort was not made. Sometimes I order Iced Capps and receive upgraded versions with whipped cream though, which is kind of a silver lining? At least the staff's incompetences sometimes...

Jan 24, 2024 I ordered four cilantro slow-cooked chicken bowls. I ordered this same item at other Tim Hortons and THIS LOCATION IS BY FAR THE BEST—best cashier service with a warm welcoming smile, best food preparation done by fellow who REALLY CARES about what he is making, best cleanliness as I see many staff members NON-STOP mopping, sweeping, clearing out garage and most diligently keeping the place SUPER CLEAN.

Head office should highly commend the fellow who made our food order, it is so good! We will be coming back to this location as a regular customer because the food is great and the place is so very clean.
