I had a very disappointing experience with Crown Pastries when ordering a birthday cake. I placed the order in person three days in advance, paid in full, and was told the cake would be ready for pickup after 2 PM on Saturday for a birthday party. The staff assured me there was no need to worry.

However, when I arrived to pick up the cake, I was informed that they did not have it because it hadn't been delivered from their Scarborough location. I explained that the cake was for a birthday party and asked what I was supposed to do. Unfortunately, all they could offer was an apology, claiming it wasn’t their fault. It is extremely unprofessional and irresponsible for them not to verify their daily orders, especially for important events like birthdays.

Because of their mistake, I had to scramble at the very last minute to find a replacement cake for the birthday party, which was extremely stressful and upsetting. This is not something anyone should have to deal with on such a special occasion.

In addition, when I first placed the order, my son wanted to try their Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup, which we purchased at $12 per cup from their refrigerated display. Once we got home, my son opened one of the cups and noticed mold on the strawberries. We took photos as evidence and discarded the cups to avoid any risk of food poisoning. Customers please carefully check the strawberries in the Dubai Chocolate Cups before eating, as it seems there is a lack of proper quality control.

When I went to the store to pick up the cake, I showed the photos of the moldy dessert to the staff. They showed little concern — the staff member simply took a photo of my evidence and said she would share it with her team.

My friend recently brought me a few treats from Crown Pastries, and I was honestly blown away by how good everything was. I had the Dubai Kunafas Chocolate Strawberry Cup, the Kunafa Chocolate Bar, and the Kunafa Biscoff. All amazing in their own way! 😋 🫶🏻

The Dubai Kunafa Chocolate Strawberry Cup was super unique crispy kunafa layered with rich chocolate and fresh strawberries. It had that perfect balance of crunchy and creamy, and it wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciated.

The Kunafa Chocolate Bar was a standout too. It’s like a dessert bar but with a Middle Eastern twist, flaky kunafa filled with chocolate that melts in your mouth. Super satisfying and definitely something I’d get again.

And the Kunafa Biscoff… wow. If you love Biscoff, this one is a must. It’s sweet, slightly spiced, and paired so well with the crispy kunafa. Honestly addictive.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put real effort into making each item feel special. I’d 100% recommend Crown Pastries to anyone who loves creative desserts or wants to try something a little different from the usual bakery fare.
