Cottons Chocolate — Restaurant in Vernon

So I've ordered chocolate covered strawberries from them for an event over a year ago and they were amazing and big and I was blown away. This time my daughter decided she wanted chocolate covered strawberries for her birthday so I had no doubts to come here, however the experience was not even close to the same this time. We ordered the strawberries 2 weeks before her party, giving lots of time for planning. I came to pick them up today and the young girl behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about and was looking at me blankly. All she kept saying over and over again was how busy they have been lately (yes which is why I ordered them 2 weeks ago!). She then told me she could whip some up for me and to come back in an hour. So I had to rearrange party decorating and drive back in. When I arrived the strawberries were so small, it was so disappointing. They usually go through a process of ripening them themselves and plumping them, which reflects the $3.98 cost per strawberry. These obviously didn't go through that process and look like store bought carton of tiny strawberries and I still had to pay the same price? I brought this up to the young girl who just couldn't seem to get me out fast enough. She did give me a few extra ones to take and did apologize but I feel riped off and very disappointed. Went in today after school with a friend (I’ve personally never been to cottons before), and it was likely the best experience I have ever had downtown. When we came into the store a lady who to my knowledge is the owner greeted us kindly, and we began to look around. We asked questions about some of the chocolates and she answered in full detail. She even gave us free samples without us even asking. The chocolates themselves are packaged and displayed nicely, but taste even better. I would 100% recommend this place to anybody...

I love this local chocolate store, not only is it so delicious and high quality but the people who work there are very kind and sweet. A family occasion is never complete without cottons chocolate, we always celebrate with the chocolate dipped sour keys, the Swedish berries and the popcorn and chocolate covered oeros are an absolute must!
