I’m not Korean so I can’t tell you how authentic this is lol. I ordered a pork kimchi jjigae (tofu stew? With rice), it tasted great! It tastes different than the usual flavour I experience at K-town in Toronto. The pork is a little sweeter and tastes heavier of almost miso like flavour, which brings the overall flavour to sweeter than I usually have. It’s still plenty spicy, so it was very interesting tasting the sweetness come out in the spiciness (in a good way).

Initially thought the rice portion might be a little small, but it actually works out just right and I finished the soup just as I finished the rice lol. (Update: found the rice portion to be in general just slightly too small, especially for bibimbap).

Pork bone soup is delicious, and the meat falls right off the bone. Not usually a fan since it’s so much work to eat, but very good here and I’d recommend it AND have it again.

Bibimbap was ok. I think it would’ve benefited from more rice, and I’ve never really had a fully cooked egg in my bibimbap before.

I also got the juice (I forgot what it’s called, but it’s the top option) - I found that way too sweet, but I also mix 1/4 pop with 3/4 water, so if you’re ok with straight pop (which I imagine is 90% of the world population), you will probably find this ok too.

My favourite restaurant in Vernon and I’ll miss this place when I go back to Toronto. Didn’t expect this in Vernon...

This just happened now. For her birthday celebration of being 16 years old today. I ordered from Suda for my daughter’s birthday, hoping for the same experience we had last year, but unfortunately, this was a huge letdown. We paid $60 (including a $5 tip) for two servings of Tteokbokki, rice, and their Snow Ball Chicken, only to receive extremely small portions. The Tteokbokki came in two small containers, and the chicken portion was also very limited. Last year, the amount was enough for both my daughter and her dad, with leftovers. This time, the portions were so small that we had to figure out something else to cook for the rest of the family.

I understand the economy has been tough lately, but has it really come to the point where only a child could be satisfied with the amount they gave us? For the price we paid, the portion sizes were just unreasonable, especially for a special meal. We were really disappointed with the value for money. The food may taste good, but the portions and prices simply don’t match. I’m not sure we’ll be ordering from here again, especially for a...

Walking in for the first time I was pleasantly surprised how clean and nice the interior looked. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and service was quick and attentive. Being from Victoria, also being relatively close to Vancouver, I am used to above average Korean food compared to what these smaller BC towns have to offer. I didn't have high expectations going in, but I was quite wrong! The food was well presented and the taste and freshness was there! I look forward to stopping by again and having a wonderful lunch or dinner the next time I come...

I had come here years ago when visiting Vernon and was initially disappointed, this time I decided to give it another try, big improvement, I was happy to see the return of the side dishes and i felt the menu also had more variety, very pleased to see the sauce included on the side with lettuce for the spicy pork, the seafood pancake was decent and the price wasn't bad at all. I would recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner. You wont be disappointed.
