What is this place? How is this place still even open? At what point in time did someone come in the restaurant and say, “hmm, oh yeah. This is pretty good”?
Literally came in for the soup lunch specials and they were so horrendous we couldn’t even eat them. The crepe was over seasoned and the sausage was as cold as the dead in a mortuary. I had to pay full price because apparently customer dissatisfaction means absolute jack in this city. I would have paid just for the crepe—but don’t make me eat food that I wouldn’t even feed my dog.
I don’t even have a dog cause I’m allergic and I’m alluding to the fact that I have one. That’s how livid I am.
Edit:
To reply to the owners. I appreciate the response but let me clarify the correspondence that I had with the one serving me:
First, this is not revenge. This is a literal reaction to the apathetic response that I've received from the person interacting with me.
We did not like the soup not just because of the flavour, but because my girlfriend also had a bad reaction to it. We've noticed in the beginning that the utensils were grimy (I am not exaggerating) and not well cleaned. Please note that there was only another group inside the restaurant so it wasn't that busy either.
In regards to the two soups, we barely touched the first one (containing fish balls) because the flavour was off-putting, and the beef noodle soup's noodles were undercooked and rather gummy to chew.
Already discouraged by the soups, we could not muster to eat the crepe as our palates were already hampered by what we had tried to consume prior to the crepe being served.
I had asked the server if I could just pay for the single as we were not satisfied with the rest of the order (barely touching them) and as close to verbatim she had said, "but you ordered it, so..."
I respect restaurants. I respect the food that is being served to me and the people that work within these establishments, but to remark in such a way is very much as demeaning to what we are as customers as what you may perceive this scathing review to be.
Our opinion matters as much as yours. We did not dine and dash. I still paid fully for the meal. Would I like a refund for the soups? Yes. Will I ever come back? No. Take the money, but keep this scathing review as a reminder that not everything can be dissuaded by an apathetic in-person response to your customers, who were initially truly excited to try your food.
" This is the original words of this message. Is it because we have not been able to make your overlord meal, so revenge?! (Reassure, you are not the first 'customer' to do this.) Cyber violence is a shame. If our dishes are quality and have safety problems, we accept all criticism, but if you want to say that it doesn't suit your taste, you will be exempt from the order?! Every restaurant operator is working hard and hard. Please respect all those who serve you and work hard for you before writing a valuable message. Finally, thank you for your patronage, this store has been operating for...
Read moreNot authentic Chinese food. This place is an absolute scam. This is the Chinese version of Kitchen Nightmares. If you don't believe me, try it yourself and re-live the nightmare.
Majority of the food prepped here is served from the cheapest prepackaged junk you find in a grocery store. It's one of the few rare Chinese restaurants out there that uses a microwave for the majority of their dishes. All of the "fresh" food prepared for us was old frostbitten meat.
We complained to the owner and chef, and wanted to walk out, but he said he wanted us to try the dishes he already started cooking. We did, and it was an absolute disaster.
Here are the highlights:
The white rice was stored in the fridge and re-heated in the microwave. Months old frostbitten pork bao's reheated in a microwave "Fresh" rock fish (which we were lied to) means according to the owner fresh as it in they got it frozen this morning (also a lie). Fish was at least a month or two old and disgusting. Ordered a beijing (peking) duck, also was old flavorless leather-y frostbitten disgusting meat. It took them an hour an half of our time to prepare the 6-7 dishes that we ordered, quarter way through we just wanted to leave but the owner insisted on keeping us here.
Don't waste your time, this isn't Chinese food. This is some lazy guy trying to take advantage of people and make money. He has ZERO...
Read moreOrdered a bunch of stuff, Bill came to about $110 their Beijing duck wrap wasn't good at all, but for $40 the amount you get is a lot (I made one wrap and didn't eat the rest, wasn't good mainly cuz it didn't taste fresh), I had a $20 salad that had cucumbers, tranalucent rice sheets, with pieces of meat with their peanut hoisin sauce ....WAY TOO SALTY. Their tofu, meatball, bai tsai soup, again too salty. I think the best thing we ordered was the eggplant vegetable dish (I recommend), and their Chinese crepe with ham inside. Their eggplant dish was good. But basically this place was just overly salty. They need to train their staff as well, because the duck was a bit pricey, they cut the meat and ask us if we want the chef to cook the bones and have the broth with it (standard thing), we said it's ok just have the bill so that I can use it to cook at home, the girl never gave it to us. Also, when we asked if we can have container to pack all our food (had to pack 3 dishes), she hands us two small containers... when they have a big one too, so my bf went and just grabbed the bigger one, which was more appropriate and fit better for one of the dishes which we barely touched. Then he had to ask for a bag. Just lack common sense, and clueless. I originally gave this place a 3 star, but my bf thinks that's too...
