While out with my family, I was looking for something to eat. We just went on the carriage/horse ride, so anything walking distance was the priority. Nine minutes of walking away was this cafe. I found it off google maps when searching “cafe.” The service is really good. The lady working was so sweet, worked quick, and made the efforts that no other cafe had done. The smile on her face remained sweet and welcoming. When we couldn’t decide dine-in or take out, she offered to put our stuff in a to-go cup so we can decide after with more time. The food was DIVINE. I got a strawberry latte—which tasted like fresh strawberries mixed with milk and sweetener. The blueberry muffin was soft, dense, and chewy. Plus, the lady asked if I’d like it warmed; I said yes. It only made it even more delicious. Not only that, but you’d get a plate. The summer sea is slightly sweet. I believe it’s blue spirulina powder? It tastes like tea, and is quite creamy and milky. The pastry was the fruit custard—very light. It tastes good in my opinion. A light, flaky pastry with custard on top, with fruits, and dusted with powdered sugar. In the end, I was well full and satisfied. The environment was straight out of your imagination. Soft, warm, and quiet. Even with my noisy family, they stayed quiet and enjoyed their food. Only the sound of music and gentle chatter. 10/10. They had some cat drawings around the place, and cat symbols. The labels had some cat art on them. I know that sounds odd or confusing, but I’d suggest giving it a look. The only single problem is that they don’t have many savoury options for all types of people. Everything had meat, and was just a croissant. But I still think everything else was amazing. This was a minor flaw in my opinion. It’s just an issue if you have any dietary restrictions.

Stopped for a coffee break in the late afternoon after exploring Victoria (in mid-July) all day. The vibe and decor of the coffee shop was super cute and the staff was friendly. I ordered a drip coffee and it wasn’t hot so I figured it wasn’t fresh. I couldn’t find any Splenda to sweeten my coffee so I asked the guy for some. I couldn’t believe that a person working in a coffee shop had never heard of Splenda!!He said he was new and had just started working there so I explained to him what Splenda was. The cappuccino we ordered was good but we were super disappointed that both coffees came in disposable cups even though ours was not to-go order. When you go to a nice coffee shop for coffee, the least one would expect, especially with a cappuccino, is that it be served in a proper (not disposable) cup. Overall I’d have to say there was plenty of room for improvement…better training for the staff, better coffee experience, and definitely serve coffee in the appropriate cup for dine-in customers.

Cat’s coffee is excellent. High quality coffee and espresso- but their other drinks are incredible as well. If you haven’t tried a sparkling Americano: this is the place you must try it at. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere has a homey community kitchen feel to it and it’s usually quiet enough that it’s my favourite place to come and work at my laptop. I’d recommend everything on the menu. Whether you’re looking for a sweet treat or a savoury snack, their baked goods are delicious. That said, if you have to try just one thing: get a savoury croissant. All in all Cat’s Coffee is great and I am a very happy loyal customer. Thanks guys!

A very nice option for a quick bite, for a break, or meet with friends located right downtown Victoria, across from Shoppers Drug Mart.

Good selection of drinks and awesome looking cakes and desserts. I have to go back to try some of their offerings which are reasonably priced considering the artistry and handmade products.

I had a Ham and Cheese Croissant ($4.99) and an Passion Fruit Iced Tea ($5.00) as a mid-morning break. I found it unusual to have a honey-glazed croissant with (no much) ham and cheese filling but it was a good snack at a reasonable price.

The Passion Fruit Iced Tea - so good, even on a cold day in Victoria. There's a wide selection of coffees and teas.

I like this place... The service was great; friendly and appreciative. An extensive selection of items; the desserts are beautiful!

The space is welcoming and attractive: I especially like how they use décor elements to separate customers from essential workers. Window panes - love it!

Nice place, good space, reasonable price...give it a try.

Tried the Matcha Jasmine Cake in a Cup ($4.99) and a cool drink the Summer Snowflake ($6.50).

(Really wanted the Blueberry Cake in a Cup but it was sold out!!!)

Wonderful! Nice space, nice people, appreciative service, reasonable prices.

Yeah, I recommend Cat's:...
