Empire Donuts View Street — Restaurant in Victoria

Back in the day they were pretty great! This past weekend I got 2 fritters and a couple of donuts. You’ll notice in my picture the ONE single piece of apple in one of the fritters, the other one was basically a loaf of bread covered in sugar. When you’ve got a hankering for a fritter and don’t eat sweets often and this is what you get…disappointing for sure.

Apple fritters should be crispy on the outside with yummy crunchy bites (not soft and soggy like these were) and actually contain apple. No kidding the other one had 1 piece of apple in the whole thing smaller than my pinky fingernail

As always, the products were fresh, delicious and the service was friendly and courteous. My only complaints are that their donuts are so GOOD, that they tend to run out!

The parking in the area can be sparse, depending on time of day, which can cause frustration.

Even with stock selling out daily, and the parking issues at times, they deserve a full '5-Star' rating. These 2 issues I had have nothing to do with the company itself, and make it feel like that much more of an accomplishment and treat when you get in there to enjoy their delightfully delicious donut creations.

Second day of disappointment... woke up early and headed down to cook street to get a donut. At 10:15 am on a Monday (cook street location), one would imagine getting a donut at a donut shop would be easy. Walked in to yet another sold out sign.

The cashier said they had a two for one sale that morning and all the donuts were gone. One would think, that if you were having a sale you would anticipate an increased sale in donuts and therefore create more? But... I suppose not.

Hopefully, next time... they will be fully stocked, but this is getting a...
