Just Matcha Tea Shop — Restaurant in Victoria

Stumbled across this cute little shop by chance, as we were cruising around Chinatown looking for a place to eat. Its a small, quiet shop that Im thankful we were able to relax at a bit. They have an extensive menu, ranging from classic matcha lattes, to unique fusion specialities, including matcha + caramel, matcha +lavender, and more.

I was parched so I ordered myself a matcha latte. It was delicious and plentiful in the flavor department for matcha, I was sad when I finished it. My son and boyfriend opted for the ice cream instead and, my boyfriends words, it tastes better here than in America. The ice cream was deliciously creamy, not overly sweet, and flavorful without tasting too artificial.

Everything was reasonably priced too and they also offered products on the side such as matcha powder, baked goods, equipment to make perfect matcha, and more touristy items as well....

Stopped by after visiting friends in Oak Bay. A straight run across Pandora to Government Road and next to Fan Tan Alley is this great little shop ‘Just Matcha.’ We both had matcha lattes, mine straight up and my wife chose a maple flavoured matcha. Beautifully blended and delicious. They offer more matcha items than I expected including matcha lemonade and matcha affogato for us non-coffee drinkers. Pleasant surroundings offering gift items, ice cream, treats and baked goods. You can make your own origami creations while you enjoy your drink or wait for your bus. Plenty of comfortable seating inside and out front and the shop was busy for a late afternoon. Friendly host to answer your questions. On street metered parking and parking lots nearby. Best ever. Just Matcha has been a staple for my friends and I since high school (late 2015) Tiffany and Kip are super welcoming and make the entire atmosphere pleasant and relaxing. The Matcha drinks themselves are delightful and there is a nice variety of snacks, both matcha themed or regular to choose from. It is a great place to go to meet and chat with friends or grab a delicious drink to go at any time of the year. There are also lots of Vegan friendly & gluten free options including different types of plant based milks which make the experience all the more worth it.
