I’m updating my review because we returned here for one last try last week, and it was absolutely miserable…

The service was horrible, the man who is the manager/owner was being so loud to the other employees, it was an embarrassment to him…..we decided to not order and left and headed down the road to Finn’s. The loud yelling was what did us in, that alone is enough for us to not come back. And we won’t. There is more than my 1 negative review to read, so if you decide to visit this establishment, you have been warned.

No matter the situation, you have customers in your store, act professional and courteous at all time, it speaks volumes about inner workings of any establishment.

Was the pizza good, yes, was it good for $8/slice, not at all.

The size of the slice isn’t all what we were expecting for $8, it was approx, 35% crust and the toppings were minimal.

The cheesesteak lacked flavour - big time… Also toppings, you can see from our photo compared to others, they there wasn’t much inside the hoagie. We were expecting more for the price, the cheese sauce was very very bland and there is too much bread and little toppings… We were expecting a good amount of onions, peppered, meats and cheese… And were given a small amount of meat, minimal cheese and a few onions mixed in with meat, extremely disappointing.

Would I go back, not for an $8 slice of pizza… Not a chance I can honestly say we will never have cheesesteak again, that was the most disappointing item we have eaten for awhile.

We have been to Philly many time and revel in their cheesesteak Sammie’s, Serena’s really fell short for us.

We love to support local, but this experience fell flat for us and we have no...

I finally made it back downtown for my second trip to Serena's and was super pumped to try the delicious Delores Sandwich that everyone has been raving about. Now I get the what all the hype was about. This sandwich is not only packed with ingredients but it packs a punch with flavour! Each time I go I'm vowing to try something new as both the Chicken Parmesan and Delores hoagies were both amazing. These sandwiches are huge! So huge that they easily feed two people which makes it very affordable for two to dine. Oh...and those tallow fries taste just like the fries back in the good old days! A wonderful trip down memory lane! I love the open kitchen concept as you can watch your food being prepared and see the cleanliness of the kitchen and both are 5 star. It was my 3 year old granddaughter's birthday and when they found out, they gathered around our table and sang her happy birthday! She was thrilled!!! The food the friendly, welcoming staff and the atmosphere makes this my new go-to lunch joint when I head into Victoria. Serena's, you have nailed the New York, Philly deli...

What a FANTASTIC addition to the neighborhood! Top scores for quality of product and FAST excellent service! The pizzeria is VERY clean, bright and airy, and the friendly, energetic and knowledgeable staff greeted me immediately upon arrival. I highly recommend the mushroom round pizza - the flavour is superb and the crust is chewy and cooked to perfection. I like that it isn't drenched in oil like some other artisanal pizzas. The price is on par with similar products in the city and the generous size provided ample leftovers for breakfast and lunch the next day. A hand written note on the pizza box, thanking me for my support, was a lovely personal touch, and made me feel like my patronage was truly appreciated. With many folks cutting back on eating out due to the high cost of food in general these days, small gestures like this thank-you note will go a long way in securing loyal clientele. I will definitely be back soon to try more on the menu! Welcome to the neighborhood and keep up the great work! Wishing Serena's...

the vibes outside were looking imaculate but when I walked in it got seriously awkward. It felt like no one working there wanted to be there. I asked one guy what the happy hour special was. He haphazardly pointed to a sign near the floor in the corner of the store. I asked if a few sandwiches were good but none of the two people working front had ever tried them. I found that strange that the actually employees couldn't offer any feedback of their own food. I guess the boss isn't giving them a meal on the job! Then I waited for my food while awkwardly overhearing a pretty loud back handed argument between chef and line cook. yikes! Got a $5 cookie that was hard as a rock, two sloppy, soggy hoagies that were really just so so. and broke the bank pretty hard to the tune of nearly $60. Left with a bad taste in my mouth. Very disappointing because my first impression was that this was going to be my new "it" spot. Now I can't see myself returning or recommending.

I'm so happy we finally have a proper sandwich place in Victoria that's not Subway. The Italian Deli around the corner is great for lunch, but this place is open late and the portions are hefty and just as delicious. The staff were wonderful and a friendly atmosphere. Very reasonable prices and all sandwiches are approximately the same weight, so don't worry about value, just pick whatever you like cause it's going to be delicious! Also had their pizza and this deserves a shout out too! Remember those Pizza Hut style pizzas from the 90s? The fluffy crust with the crunchy outside, the heaping amount of toppings? The only bad thing was the grease killed you. These guys take that model, get rid of the excess grease and take the seasoning to a new level. It's delicious!! Really hope to see these guys stick around cause they're absolutely wonderful :)
