We'd been coming here for the last 13 years and used to love the experience each time - the music, the art, the fun atmosphere, the ability to customize each bubble tea, and you get to hang out in Chinatown. All the staff used to be so friendly and welcoming. Sadly, that is no longer the case.
I sent my teen son in on one of our last times there, because like usual, there was no parking. He texted me from inside saying how the usual very unfriendly guy with the long braids (never smiles, never greets you, has this look on his face like you're an inconvenience to him) wasn't helping the line of people. (My son was first in line and was feeling panicky like he was somehow holding up the line). This worker was actually standing at the front counter, entrance side, just hanging out on his phone. My son said this worker even looked over at the line at one point, smirked, but then just went back to his cell phone. Just then, someone else walked in, skipped the obvious very long line-up along the wall, walked up to the counter to where this worker was, and he took her order instead!! At this point, another worker (I think maybe the owners son? Blond hair, super handsome, and has ALWAYS been really kind to everyone over the years) was done with an order and came over and started helping the lineup.
My son felt it was a bit of a blessing in disguise as he got the friendly guy instead of the one that comes across as a total snob.
On another note, my son came out in tears as he has major social anxiety and panic disorder and he felt like he was purposely being ignored while also feeling so much pressure because he was first in line, and he felt like he was the one holding up the long line of people.
We gave it another try a couple weeks later and once again got the guy with the long braids. True to his nature, he was as unfriendly as he has always been (though he is usually seen talking and laughing with other young staff). I'd honestly be shocked if we're the first to complain.
It's unfortunate that this one guy has ruined what used to be a fun experience for my family. And yes, we love the bubble teas (though we wish there were sugar-free options), but it's always an uncomfortable experience now when this guy takes our order, and unfortunately, he's almost always there.
Please step up your work game. You're working with the general public in a busy, touristy little city. It's not hard to be friendly and kind....

The staff at The Bubble Tea Place are not just friendly and attentive, but also incredibly knowledgeable about their products. They're always eager to share their recommendations, which adds to the overall experience and makes each visit feel like a special occasion.
Now, let’s talk about the bubble tea! It’s simply divine. The selection is vast, and I adore how they use high-quality ingredients. Each sip is a delightful blend of flavours, and the chewy tapioca pearls are perfectly cooked. Whether you prefer classic milk teas or more adventurous fruity concoctions, there’s something for everyone.
I wholeheartedly recommend The Bubble Tea Place to anyone looking for a refreshing drink and artistic inspiration. It’s a delightful escape from the everyday hustle, and I can’t...
Read moreSo we walked in to this place for the first time not knowing what to expect. It was rated 4.5 so we figured it must be really good quality bubble to. The people making it were caucasian but that doesnt mean it wont be delicious. Lol. However they had many many many different combinations of flavors but the flavors. Their bubble tea flavors are made with powder, so if your expecting any kind of real fruit or slush it's not gonna happen. The tapioca bubbles are pretty basic too they're not roasted in brown sugar or honey or anything like that. I got the dragonfly and you got the polar bear. The polar bear lacked in flavor despite the bubble tea guy saying it was good . It tasted like milk with a dash of coconut flavor and no lychee flavor at all or real vanilla so I wouldnt recommend it. I got the dragonfly which was tastier. Overall probably...
