This is a great addition to the Victoria food and cafe landscape! As soon as you walk in it feels welcoming, greater by photos of customers doggos, a lively but not overwhelming pink aesthetic, and perfect lighting that is well lit but not overly so. The music is at the perfect volume as to not inhibit conversation but also not hear the tables across the room either. It's open but not cavernous. Great layout with spots for loners to cozy into corners while also featuring tables for groups of 6!
The menu is fantastic featuring savories and sweat foods and beverages that are unique and really make them stand out - not just another boring cafe here! The price of their minis is perfect for those needing a snack or with small appetites without compromising on choice and quality! But if you have a bigger appetite there's great options as well.
I had their feature savoury mini with cheddar and bacon and a matcha latte. And lactose intolerant folks rejoice! This is the only non Starbucks place in town I've seen offer lactose free milk, so it's great for those that don't like milk alternatives (or just want to mix it up). The latte had the perfect amount of foam and it was a rich matcha flavor and definitely had a good kick of caffeine. The photo of the waffle mini looks like it's just cheddar, but it hides a good punch of bacon underneath and they perfectly melted the cheese with a torch that brought it a delightful smoky flavor. Not a fan of the board plate as the bacon crumbs rolled off too easy, but it is a cute aesthetic. Maybe they should consider getting ones with a lip?
Service was fantastic - if eating in they bring everything to you, and promptly so everything was warm. Staff are also...
Read moreFirst off, I am just a regular average guy.
I wish I had food review talent, this place deserves to have people eloquently describe in detail their whole mouth-watering experience.
This was my first time being here, they had the indoor seating booked off. They were doing take out only, not a problem for me as I wasn't expecting anything.
I got the Cafe Noir Waffle. The choices were crispy or soft waffle, which I have never really thought about before. We decided on crispy as it was take out.
The employee apologised profusely and I reminded him its my first time so its no biggie.
In that moment, he asked me if he could make room for me, if I would stay. He insisted the Cafe Noir is much better on a plate than a take out container. I told him it wasn't a big deal, he insisted.
I stayed and while waiting for my waffle, I was brought a carafe of water, didn't ask for it but I definitely still had some! Stat Hydrated People!
While sitting down, I decided to check my online banking, as I dont remember tipping. When I confirmed there was no tip added, I approached him to tell him.
He told me he intentionally skipped the option before letting me pay. Insisted to leave a tip, he did ask me to leave a review.
I had already planned to so it was no bother.
Please for your own sake, stop by and try these waffles, and enjoy...
Read moreI had the absolute best brunch experience at this adorable café in Victoria! From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The space is beautifully decorated with plants, soft pink accents, and the most charming collection of dog photos, each one framed and named, adding such a personal and heartwarming touch.
The service was just as wonderful as the décor. I was warmly welcomed, and the staff came by to check in after my first few bites, which I really appreciated.
And the food? Incredible. The Wonderffle Brunch Plate was delicious and thoughtfully put together, with crispy breakfast potatoes, perfectly scrambled eggs, savory sausage, peameal bacon, and the option of a crunchy or soft waffle, which I thought was such a lovely detail. The fresh orange added a bright note, and my latte was both beautiful and smooth, with the foam heart just sealing the whole experience.
There’s even a little seahorse aquarium that adds to the whimsical charm. This café is a total hidden gem! I will absolutely be coming back next time I’m in Victoria. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a cozy hug (and serves amazing...
