TacoTime — Restaurant in West Jasper Place

I visited this Taco Time before work today and asked to purchase a medium cup of water, as I’ve done here before. Instead of simply ringing it in, the employee stared me down with a hostile expression, picked up a tiny paper cup, and began pouring water while glaring at me with a scowl. When I clarified that I wanted to buy a medium cup, she rolled her eyes and said, “I can’t give you that.” After I repeated myself, she rolled her eyes again and snapped, “okay, 77 cents.”

I want to stress that I was not asking for anything free I was prepared to pay. What upset me was not the water itself but the way I was treated. Her repeated eye-rolls, hostile stare, and dismissive tone made me feel embarrassed, targeted, and unwelcome. Walking away, I couldn’t help but wonder if her behavior was rooted in racism, Islamophobia, or another form of bias.

No customer should ever leave a restaurant feeling humiliated or singled out for simply trying to make a purchase. I hope management takes this incident seriously, as respectful service should be the baseline for every guest.

I hope whoever manages this place sees my review and properly trains their employees. I never like to write bad reviews but I have also never experienced this type of hostility, over a cup of water. It makes me wonder how they treat other customers and what goes down behind closed doors.

To anyone reading this I do not recommend going to this taco time, there are better restaurants in the food court that will treat you with dignity...

I recently visited Taco Time and was blown away by both the quality of the food and the outstanding customer service! Disappointing Food and Lack of Effort

My experience with the veggie tacos and veggie burrito was unfortunately very poor. The tacos were mostly empty, with the lack of filling being covered up by a handful of lettuce.

The veggie burrito was supposed to be on a whole wheat tortilla, as stated in the description, but I was given a white tortilla with no communication about the substitution. The tortilla itself was not warmed before wrapping; instead, the finished burrito was put in a microwave, which left it cold on one side and only mildly warm on the other. It also contained very little sauce and cheese.
