Really inconsistent and at times very unpleasant atmosphere at service counter and whether this is even a fast food restaurant is debatable. Having a few self-serve kiosks would be a great improvement to the dismissive and impatient tone of some of the servers. As other posters said, only thing consistent in this restaurant is how slow the ordering and receiving process usually is and when you put your tray down to get ketchup it is all sticky. Usually there is only one cashier so line can be very confusing and sometimes starts at the door. Customers sometimes bully and bother other customers and the interaction has an unnecessarily rough feel to it, sort of like the impatience of the 21st century stuck in 90's technology. Staff go from one til to another til, sometimes they push the wrong item a couple of times then the code on the app deal gets refused and then they have to try again while the line is growing behind you. They have no scanner. The time it takes adds to confusion and unpleasantness and inconsistency. Though they had 3 TVs they appear to keep them turned off. Wifi not working very well at times so ordering while using their app offer can also be very unpleasant and an excuse for the servers to act impatiently with you. I was trying to log on to order the deal and the waitress was so rude to me and asked others to go in front of me. The app works if you persevere but when wifi acts inconsistently too, it can be very unpleasant ordering at this Macdonald's. If you resist urge of walking out, food here is usually pretty good. Big Mac and french fries were good when orders were taken and made quickly, otherwise not so great when cold. Ketchup container worked okay once lid was put back on one day, another day there was no ketchup in the container, today no knapkins. My McDâs is a decent app. Finding âall offersâ after clerk pushed âmy offerâ confused issue a bit. The long waits watching staff preparing Uber take-outs can be boring, not much fun and might land up being a total waste of your lunchtime. As another poster said it is hit or miss whether this a real fast food restaurant or just a fill-in betwen Uber orders. Walk-in customers seem to be designated only one and sometimes two servers. No special coffees at this location. Often toilets are not flushed so gross at times. The McDonald's brand in Montreal seems to be hit or miss for standards and quality control. Some of the expected menu items are missing, and this is the second McDonald's where at times waiting in line did not feel safe. Just like another poster said I regretted going to this McDonald's that day cause of the time it took. What is billed as convenient and fast food does not calculate how home delivery services, IMO, creates a two tier service system, slowing down walk-in service to compensate for growing demand for home delivery service. This restaurant obviously needs more staff at counter to restore balance between the two and possibly making it...
Read moreWent with my sons to pick up a simple order of McNuggets Fri evening; it took a mind blowing 25 min of standing in line and then waiting to get our order! At the same time, there was a steady flow of drivers picking up delivery orders which seemed to be getting priority. Absolutely terrible service (the fellow at the cash got our drink order wrong as well); indicative of how Micky D's has lost their way when it comes to customer service; used to be in and out in less than 5 minutes in the good old days.....service at A & W is way more efficient... update 24-Jan-2020, OMG, I so wish one of my boys was not so addicted to those horrible McNuggets! He asked to go pick up a box tonight and the service was almost as bad as the last time around; 17 long minutes from time of placing our order before my son was able to get hold of his precious McNuggets! I honestly don't think there is any manager in there running the place, just a few unskilled junior staff . The place was not crowded in the least so no excuse for that kind of delay. Maybe they had run out of nuggets and someone had to pop over to the neighborhood Metro store to pick up a fresh supply? When I asked why the wait was so ridiculously long, I received a blank stare in return and not a word of apology; would rate this Micky D a big fat zero if I could which would accurately reflect the level of customer service they offer their clients. I stopped at the nearly A & W after since son #2 enjoys their chicken fingers and was in and out in a minute and a half with pleasant service to boot! Mickey D, you have really lost your way compared with what the experience and speed used to be years ago...sad, reminds me of Dunkin Donuts when they started going downhill and eventually went the way of the...
Read moreBit of a story so please bear with me. Was the second McDonald's I had gone to looking for ice-cream. The interior was locked with a sign that said mobile orders only. Tried to order on the mobile but it said ice cream unavailable. Settled for a smoothie. While waiting for the smoothie I noticed an employee eating ice-cream so when they brought the drink I asked about it. Their machine was preparing to go into maintenance mode but they could still make it. They offered to mark it as available on the app and did so. However even after nearly 10mins the app still wouldn't let me order it. I only had cash and they could only accept card or app. In the end they let me order something of equal price to the ice-cream on the app and swap it for the ice-cream. The most accommodating McDonald's I have ever been to and I will...
