First time I tried Bodegoes, the Burrito I received had too much lettuce and not enough meat or other filling ingredients (was hungry an hour after lunch). For the price it should not just be filled with lettuce.
Decided to give them a second try, this time the 3 piece chicken fingers. The person in front of me was picking up what looked like a catering box, filled with chicken fingers. So they did not have very many chicken fingers left afterwards. I received what looked to be the leftovers which were three TINY pieces of chicken fingers. I know what the regular size should be because my friend frequently purchases chicken fingers here. If all you have left is smaller than usual, at least put an extra one in there to make up for it. I still paid the same price for them so I felt cheated and like my money would have been better spent elsewhere.
Decided to give them one more try. Bought one of the pasta options. When I opened it, I realized I was given the wrong order. My receipt # was checked when I took my food so it was supposed to be the right order (aka the employee gave the wrong order). I went back and they said they would "fix it" so I had to wait for my correct order to be done. By this time 50 mins of my lunch hour was over so I could not finish my food. I understand mistakes happen, and that's not what upsets me. The worst part is I did not receive any offer of compensation for their mistake. Even just a simple offer of, here's a free drink or fries on us, would have helped. It just felt careless to have to wait double the amount of time for your order because of a mistake and not receive any sort of little compensation (10% off next time, whatever). It does not make me feel like customers are valued and I would rather spend my time and money where...
Read moreAfter A&W hiked prices a short while ago, I figured that I'd give Bodegoes a shot, and I can gladly say they didn't disappoint to the point where I can say it's the new best value for money in the building. The menu offers something for everyone. I like their use of noodle box containers for takeaway which sets them apart from others, though with some items like fries some people might not like the condensation that forms, but that's an easy fix: just open the boxes before you're on your way if it bothers you that much since you'll get a bag anyway. Whenever there's lines, they're managed well during busy times like the lunch rush, though some days it might be a little while before you get your order but given the quality of the food and the friendly employees, it's worth the wait. They also have a plaque that outlines the chain's ownership structure which I find pretty neat. The one thing that I think they could improve on is to be open on Saturdays, which would help convention-goers from the nearby convention center have another option to take a break and munch on something if there isn't already a Jets game or a concert at Bell MTS Place. Other than that, I'll definitely...
Read moreI’ve been going here for years. I get it’s been hard on restaurants since Covid but a friend and myself both got 3 pc chicken finger meals. He got it with a full fry and I got it with a half fry. I actually saw the cook put the fries in his box - and then took a bunch out. Proceeded to hand us our orders - and specified which was the half fry. We opened our boxes and they actually had the same amount of fries in each. I guess cook didn’t want to make a new batch of fries for the next half order. For $15 plus the tip they ask you for it’s...
