Taste Of China — Restaurant in Woodstock

Such a shame, their customer service is horrible.. Just read the responses the owner has put on negative reviews and you will see the type of people they are. We ordered food and they delivered the wrong order. We had opened all the containers and our guests started serving the food on plates before I realized the error. I called them and explained the mistake, they asked what they could do and I asked that we just get our order. Guests put the food back in the containers and we waited an additional 30 min for our order to arrive... Told the driver we opened everything and at that point assumed because of covid they could not take it back. We ate our dinner, and then I noticed 3 hours later taste of China had called my phone numerous times... When I returned their call (assuming it would be to applogize and make sure we Received the correct order) I was sadly mistaken.. The lady on the phone told me she wanted the food back.. And she needed to have it because people say the got the wrong order on purpose to get extra food... WHAT? ?? No apologies, just Accusations and very aggressive .. I put the food in a bag on my front porch with a note about how disappointed I was with how they handled the situation. I'm still in shock. We didn't make the error, we spent over 100 on food we didn't Initially receive. Unfortunately for them, they lost a repeat customer with me and my entire Woodstock family that was here for...

BEWARE Beyond Disappointed. I ordered for an 8:30 delivery HOURS prior. They did show up on time but the customer service on the phone was horrible.

I ordered 2 wonton soups, combo 3 (sweet and sour chicken balls & sweet and sour shrimps with chicken fried rice and spring roll) And coconut chicken.

First of all, they forgot the sweet and sour sauce for my husband combo & the rice was hard? The breaded shrimp & chicken balls were not bad but would have been nice to have the sweet and sour sauce for them… Never in my life have I received undercooked fried rice lol

The coconut chicken was drowning in a sugary like coconut flavoured syrup that looked very questionable and the “chicken” was hard as a rock & basically all breading.

The wonton soups were beyond salty and tasted like nothing. The meat in the wontons tasted off. I used to love their wonton soup and the crunchy pieces they used to put in them. Not anymore….

$47 including delivery. Tried to call and nobody would pick up. Customer service is terrible. Very disappointed. Not like it was 6 years ago when I was a REGULAR. This was my favourite place to eat in Woodstock when I was in college. I Was excited to order from here as I’m in town for the weekend. Very disappointed. 1 star would be a compliment.. Wish I could send it all back and get a refund. Too bad they won’t pick up the phone. I’ll be calling in the morning.

Honestly I heard about this from a lady who works there and I thought I'd check it out. I went in put in my order with the establishments sweet and friendly staff. I was especially impressed with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant! Then I ate the food and was even more amazed with the quality of food especially for the reasonable prices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good food, a clean restaurant and excellent service! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

^^^^^^ Was what I USED to think of this place until today! I went to order for delivery, the woman on the phone was rude! I get English is not her first language which is fine, I'm a patient person. However, when she starts talking to people in the background in her own language while still on the phone with me and I'm trying to place an order.. NOT good business practice. For some reason they wouldn't substitute an egg roll for a spring roll which they have never had an issue with me before. EXTREMELY displeased! Needless to say, I'll be finding a new Chinese restaurant in town for...
