Café de la Candelaria — Restaurant in Providencia

This place is SO good you can't miss it if you are visiting Valparaiso. First of all, brace yourself if you don't have a reservation because you are likely the have to wait quite a bit. I have been there a couple of times without reservation and I thing the best way of action is to get there early, like 12.30 - 12.45 early.

Once you are in you are all set. The food is amazing, there's no other word. The dishes are carefully presented and so tasty that you will remember for sure. The views are cool, you can have lunch with a sight of Valparaiso's bay. Finally, the prices are a bit high, it's definitely not a cheap place, but in my opinion it's worth every...

Just got a nice "once" with a friend. The whole wheat bread is delicious. Unfortunately they forced us to pay the bill even though we weren't planning to leave the place so soon. In Chile you have this kind of behaviour. If we wanted to ask for another thing to drink or eat it wasn't possible because they are so in a hurry to close the places that they forget about the client. Not sure if I would came back for the night. They might work better...

Ayer sabado fue la tercera y última vez que consumo en ese fiasco de local.para quien tiene buen paladar, no es recomendable, yo le di 3 oportunidades y en definitiva no es para mi gusto. Por segunda vez pido uno de los sándwich mas caro de la carta..el gourmet de serrano con queso cabra con la lechigada de aceituna. La primera vez fue en pan ciabatta como lo ofrecen..y todo perfecto..aquella vez me decepcionó el té pero perdonable ya que pedi café americano.. la segunda vez me fui a lo seguro con postre.y la tercera y última ayer..el mismo sándwich. No había ciabatta, accedí a otro pan..muy grueso la tajada hicieron..poco queso cabra..y nada de la lechigada de aceituna. Me comi una mitad solamente de las gruesas tajadas..y no quise reclamar, ya que sabemos como se desquitan en la cocina..pedi para llevar sopaipilla pasadas.que ya había degustado en la visita anterior y las encontré aceptables.pero al llegar a casa y ver lo que me empacaron..sentí rabia.y decepción.. porque casi 5 mil pesos se irán a la basura. 2 sopaipillas gordas como donas..duras secas ( eso no es pasado .remojada) y la tercera si bien era delgada, ni con un cuchillo se pudo partir..osea..me estafaron mandando para mi casa un producto añejo y mal preparado...los trabajadores o el que se encarga en la cocina sintió que yo sería la indicada para adjudicarme la basura que le...
