Rosmarino — Restaurant in Valparaíso

We had lunch at «Rosmarino»: three adults and one child. The food was really good: fresh, well-prepared, and with a nice balance of flavors. You can feel that everything is made with attention and care. The staff were friendly and polite, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

The place is small but cozy, with a local charm that fits Valparaíso perfectly. Prices are above average (we paid around $100 for 4 people), but the quality and service make it reasonable. A good spot for a calm meal and nice...

We got a recommendation from a cruise ship pilot and didn't know that they closed at 17:30. We made a reservation at 18:30 and they accepted without telling us about their closing time. Anyhow, we ended up having a private dinner in the restaurant. Not only that, we got marvellous food with an excellent wine recommendation and service. It was one of the best experiences ever and we will memorize that for quite some time! Many thanks to the chef and the whole team....

Platos deliciosos y una atención espectacular. Es un lugar muy agradable. Dos salones amplios. La carta consiste en productos del mar, pescados y mariscos, frescos y deliciosamente preparados, además, tiene opciones de otras carnes. Es bueno consultar por platos especiales que a veces están fuera de carta, ya que la cocina cambia en base a la temporada, nos comentaron que constantemente llegan pescados poco comunes o variaciones de preparaciones, por ejemplo, las típicas machas a la parmesana se podrían cambiar por ostiones usando la misma preparación. Tienen muy buenas opciones de vinos, trabajan con Undurraga, Tinta tinto, Ventisquero y a veces hay una que otra sorpresa en las opciones de vinos y espumantes. Si tienes alguna alergia alimentaria, el maître y el chef del lugar están dispuestos a buscar una preparación que se adecúe a tus necesidades, siempre con mucha amabilidad y transparencia. Siempre que vamos a visitar Cerro Alegre y los alrededores los visitamos, y siempre, siempre, es una agradable experiencia.
