Pecado Del Inka — Restaurant in Viña del Mar

If you are visiting Chile from the USA, it is a good idea to visit this place as soon as you arrive in Viña. I was born and raised in CA by San Francisco so getting delicious auténtico food from any corner of the world was just an Uber drive away. Yet, to have auténtica Peruvian comida meant you were going to have to get on an airplane and fly over the equator. So if you don't want to land in Lima and you do find yourself in Vina Del Mar, Chile this is the place to enjoy the very best flavors of Perú. The attention is super and the kitchen works very hard to bring your food as fast as possible to your table. The staff is always trying to make your experience a happy one and they are very careful not to make any mistake. Distinctly average and slight deception.

It was a Saturday and they had the advertise of menu del inka for less than 5000clp so i went in.,only to be told that it was a weekend so there is no set menu. If there is a no set menu, why did the restaurant advertise it outside?

Ordered the grilled octopus which looks good but the taste was average. The octopus was soggy and lack of flavours and lukewarm. It was 8900 clp and not worth it. Had better food in santiago.

All in all, overhyped and wont be heading back. Worth a try for menu del inka on weekdays though.

The food looks beautiful, but it does not taste as good as it looks. It was very dissapointing​ to try the cebiche, the fish was not properly marinated, it was plain raw with not much taste. Also, the aji de gallina was very poor in taste (this one just tasted like cream, only that it was yellow) and came with a white rice that just had lots of oil. Anticuhos de corazón were ok, only because they were salty, they had an extra flavour. Chicharrones ( Apanados) are also of poor quality. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I don't...
